Thank you to everyone who has participated in the first three parts of the Covid 19 Invitational Tournament.  Hopefully, you have been introduced to some good new songs from the past three years.  This poll begins the final part of the first round of the tournament.  I have once again selected five bands that have are either well known in the prog community or who have had past historical mainstream success.  All of these songs have been released in the past three years, but may have flown under your radar.  Give them a listen and let me know which song you think could have the best chance at mainstream success in my alternative reality fantasy world where the mainstream actually listens to music produced by progressive rock musicians.  Hopefully we can pick up a few more participants in this final set of groupings!!!

If you are just joining us in this tournament and want to check out the previous 3 rounds of Heavy Hitters, here are the links:

I wasn't expecting this, but Queensryche stood out by a long shot. Very catchy.

Listened to both Jeanne d'Arc albums by Eloy but was very disappointed by both - found them very mediocre indeed. The last Focus album I have is Focus 9, because I thought X and 11 didn't add much to that, though they remain pleasant listens (including the track here). The Who is a bit too straight forward and Pendragon a bit too simple in this competition.
It was quite a while that I haven't heard anything by Queensr˙che (only have their Operation Mindcrime album) but this track stands out for me here; although rather classic it is just very good!

Interesting. Would I rank the bands overall, Eloy and Focus came first, but of these Who sound the freshest by some distance, followed by Queensryche. The Focus one isn't bad but too toothless to excite me, and the Eloy one is better than most I know from the part I album, but still, the only thing I really like about this is good old Matze on bass, who can't do anything wrong.

Can't have a four way tie for first!!!  Time for some new blood to give these a listen and a vote.  This poll will remain open for 8 more days, and then I will move on to the 2nd round.
