Mirayon is not a band with permanent members, but a project led by Cyril Stoller and Dario Colombo. The idea to found Mirayon arose when Dario and Cyril decided after a long time with Liquid Rain to break new ground. The basic idea was to have a vessel in which you can work with different musicians. The name Mirayon is a word creation from Mir (from Latin mirari = to be amazed / admire) and Ayon (Greek for lifetime). The Latin mirari later became the English mirror. So the name Mirayon has different meanings. First, in our lifetime we never want to forget to marvel and admire creation. Second, we understand Mirayon as a mirror that should help us to reflect and hopefully also help everyone who hears Mirayon to reflect. Mirayon's vision is to say through music and words what cannot be said through words alone. Mirayon wants to tell a story and invite the audience to become part of that story.
