TOP 20 RUSH Songs - #5 This is the new, long distance project ON A MISSION - to determine consensus 20 Best Rush Songs  As determined in http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=124241" rel="nofollow - this preliminary thread, we are using a method already tested in a similar http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=124211" rel="nofollow - Genesis Project . Every participant names three songs in order of preference: First song = 4.5 points Second song = 3 points Third song = 2 points After a couple of days I add up your "points" and announce the winning song for a current spot. Then we move on and vote for the next spot. All points are reset. Our goal is to come up with 20 songs and hopefully get it done before Christmas  Voting is closed. No. 5 song is Natural Science 1. My vote: 1 Natural Science 2 Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres 3 Red Barchetta Hemispheres might be a bit "simple" in comparison to some ~20 minute prog epics, but I can't deny its impact. The pictures they paint with music are full of color, tranquility, and I love the production. It's so airy, so lofty! Typical Lifeson chords make listening to this a pure joy. Red Barchetta might just be their best "rocker", it's a very detailed track with fascinating story.
