And without World Record, I might not have given Pawn Hearts any chance.

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.

I have always liked the Einstürzende Neubauten logo:

A more weird one was that of the Danish socialist rock band Røde Mor (designed by Dea Trier Mørch, the then wife of singer Troels Trier):

I always thought of the Prince logo as being a cross of the symbols for man and woman with a post horn. oh, and a sexually impotent man too since the arrow points down

Then I guess the VDGG and ELP on here don't count since they aren't really symbols. Or are they? Wink

"A logo is a graphic mark, emblem, symbol, or stylized name used to identify a company, organization, product, or brand. It may take the form of an abstract or figurative design, or it may present as a stylized version of the company's name if it has sufficient brand recognition."

This was always my favourite - used to practice drawing it on my school books during boring lessons, I love the way the Y and the S interconnect through the E.

^ If you want to get technical about it...
The transitional blue is representative of water, deep and shallow.
The 'Y' appears to be high water flowing down into a stream that meanders through the 'E and spills out into the ocean 'S'.

See, I did pay attention in art class.

Yes, that is because they were a Russian band. It's actually https://www.metal-archives.com/bands/%D0%90%D1%81%D0%BF%D0%B8%D0%B4/42770" rel="nofollow - Аспид and Aspid is merely a Romanization of the spelling

Not to a Grateful Dead Fan! They've got lots of 'iconic images' that link directly to their 'brand' (which is pretty much what i understood a logo to be in this context..) '' a printed design or symbol that a company or an organization uses as its special sign''

Rush have a number of great logos, or at least a number of great fonts used to write their name and symbols associated with their various albums. Even before they started working with Hugh Syme on all of their graphics, they had really compelling visuals for their debut and for Fly By Night (that massive pink Rush logo and the wintery blue owl). But of course their most iconic is probably the Starman from the inner sleeve of 2112.

Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)
