Hi,

Of this list (including Baldjean's) I have seen and remember well the following:

Never on Sunday
Two Women
Rocco and His Brothers
Eyes Without a Face
La Dolce Vita
Spartacus
Saturday Night and Sunday Morning
Little Shop of Horrors
The Time Machine
The Magnificent Seven
Psycho
Rocco and his Brothers
House of Usher
Shoot the Piano Player

To say one is better than the other or suggest that I favor one over the other is scary for me.

As a reviewer, with over 500 of these posted, I can not make a determination for which is better or worse specially when it comes to well known names in film, whose works are so different as to be something that most folks can not see these days, or even consider appreciating, a lot of folks in this set of film postings excepted because it is very clear they know what they are posting and have seen.

I can not vote on "favorites" a whole lot ... for me it takes the appreciation for other things too far down in my head, and I respect the artistry of it all way too much. All of these films have a lot of great things that are worthy of discussion in a film class or a spot like this one.

Being two lazy to come up with a new list, I'll just just paste in the same list I wrote when we had this topic before: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=119584" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=119584

Village of the Damned
Eyes Without a Face
L'Avventura
Elmer Gantry
The Bad Sleep Well
The 1,000 Eyes of Dr. Mabuse
Black Sunday
Rocco and His Brothers
The Devil's Eye
La Dolce Vita
The Magnificent Seven
Breathless
Psycho
The Little Shop of Horrors

I doubt it will have changed much in two years anyway, although I'm sure with some research I could think of some others.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I observed before. It can be much like that with music for me; immersed in experiencing the moment.

Was going to edit this in to my last post, but I suggest continuing this topic in the older "Favorite Movies of 1960?" as that had not auto-locked and we ask that people try to avoid the duplication of topics.  People can always copy-paste their posts there and add any new discoveries if they posted in both.  The link to the older topic again is  http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=119584" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=119584

If this was duplicated because the older topic could not be found using the search engine, you need to use advanced search and be careful with the fields, like setting it to Find Posts any date etc.
