In case anyone comes in and begins at the beginning, I am also posting this here:
Thus far, then, for Spot 25, the split vote for
Silvia Pérez Cruz “Mañana” (Mila-13) or Ennio/Edda “Cosa” (Logan)
Tallies Thusly:
Silvia Pérez Cruz “Mañana” (Mila-13) 1
Ennio/Edda “Cosa” (Logan) 2
This will be updated as necessary.
Emotional songs sung by female performers.
Polling Place for Interactive Poll: Emotional songs (female singer)
Link to original poll: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=126491&PN=1
First of all, again, best wishes for a speedy recovery for Lorenzo (jamesbaldwin), the creator of this particular type of poll. Many thanks to all who have helped me figure out how best to take on the challenge of jumping in and having to sort out how to continue his poll in his temporary absence.
~Nickie (snicolette)
Please note there are some formatting inconsistencies in the poll, as there are a finite number of spaces to use.
IMPORTANT: Due to so many participants, the final poll choice is a split vote spot, between Logan's and Mila-13's choices, you will have to let us know in the comments section which of the songs you are voting for, or if you are voting for both in the spot.
As of initial writing, I'd not heard back from dwill123, so went with precedent and selected his/her first entry for voting.
Here are Lorenzo's original instructions for this poll:
What matters is that the singer is a woman, and that her interpretation (or in any case the music, combined with her singing), give you a great emotion (of any kind), if not even the chills.
The songs can be written by the same woman performer, or it can be a cover, or written by the group in which the woman sings.
In this case, to facilitate the choice, songs by prog groups and authors are allowed.
You can suggest 1, 2, 3, 4 four songs (not more), and then, next week, choose one song.
If you have time, and you want to express your opinions on the songs proposed by other forumists,
you are welcome!
You can vote for three songs, the ones you like more (but not for yours).

I am guessing that George was awaiting the final word from dwill123. I'm sure he'll post it if he has time to put one together. He has not posted a full one, as of this writing....Mila-13 had expressed interest in doing one if he's not already putting one together. Perhaps they will contact one another and we'll get one soon.

@ Snicolette & Logan
I would like to thank you guys for your warm welcome and your effort that allowed me to take part in this poll. Much appreciated!
This song is for you and I think that it fits the poll theme in its own way. It is a song by a legendary Russian rock band, Nochnye Snaipery (engl. Night Snipers) that was founded by two fantastic and passionate ladies back in 1991. Meanwhile each of them has a band of her own but now and then they do still perform together. In this video you can see their performance on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the band's foundation. Enjoy!

p.s. The song title is Solntse (engl. Sun).

This is the first poll on here I've ever voted in, so I voted for my first choice (I found I could only tick one box at a time) but when I went to choose numbers two and three, the 'cast my vote' tab had been replaced by 'you have already voted in this poll', so I don't, at the moment, see how this is possible.

Thank you, Anders! One of various things that I find interesting about this format is that the suggested songs which have not been nominated are included in a second playlist. I joined last minute, but next time I will post more than just one song, provided that I do have enough material that would meet the criteria of course.

First batch of songs.
Sade - "Is It a Crime" (Raff)
This one is in the more jazzy department. It's what I like to call "conservatory music", because essentially this is the type of music they used to favour at the conservatories for so-called "rhythmical music" (rhythmical as opposed to classical music) in Denmark. 'Rhythmical music' basically means rock, pop and jazz, but there was a strong bias towards jazz at the conservatories. Today it may be different. While I do like a lot of jazz - mostly from the 1960's though - I can not really relate to stuff like this, but I acknowledge its qualities (it's not jazz proper or course, just jazzy).
Charming Hostess - "Laws of Physics" (TCat)
There's a very interesting arrangement here, especially with the bass line. It's very original, also with the vocal arrangements. Quite cacophonic too at times. The vocals become a bit too much at times, but on the other hand it adds to the eccentricity. Contender.

Since I already listened to and commented on all the suggestions in the main poll thread, I came rather quickly to make up my mind after listening to the playlist of the nominated songs. I really liked everything, except one song, so this was once again a great round of music! So, here's my verdict...
In the "too famous to vote for" department, three outstanding artists and songs: Sinéad O'Connor, Janis Ian and Billie Holiday - they are top of the bill.
In the "really great and intriguing music but not necessarily top in the "emotional" department" department, and artists that I would like to explore further: Charming Hostess (really great discovery!), Lau Nau, Helium Horse Fly and Broadcast.
Now to the top emotional songs in this poll, I came to a top six, with in the second tier: Offa Rex, Dida Dragan, and Cara Dillon... But my final votes go to (in no particular order):
- Katinka - "Idioter"
- Ginevra di Marco - "Vedrai Vedrai"
- Silvia Pérez Cruz - "Mañana"
I found these the most moving songs and performances, next to the "too famous to vote for" songs.
Thanks to Lorenzo and all participants for this wonderful sentimental journey (and this great poll series!) and to Nickie for jumping in after Lorenzo's mishap!

After much, much agonizing, here we go with my votes (the winners are accompanied by my initial take):
1.Ronstein: Right in my wheelhouse and she crushed this. Plus I was inspired to listen to all of her music on bandcamp and purchased 2 of them. How I missed her is beyond me. Cara Dillon “The
Lark in the Clear Air”Will love to hear
this, as I don’t know her and I play this song every time I play the harp, as
one of my warmup pieces.😊Sweet, sweet Irish singer, doing this gorgeous Irish tune, accompanied
by piano and very delicate orchestration.
2.Lewian: Battled with my #1 for that spot but had to go with a genre close to my heart. Broadcast “You Can Fall”
Discordant sounds at the start, bells and whongs, clangs. A steady rhythm builds and VERY EERIE
keyboard comes in, dang, I love that.
Wow, I can’t even describe what happens when the vocals come in, and the
music underpins it. Her harmonies with
herself are amazing. Very dark, menacing
piece, but one I find truly the most striking so far. Chills here, too. Good ones.
Tied for #3, but went with The Anders for the intensity.
3. The Anders: The chills did it. Katinka “Idioter”This has a
dark feel that I quite like, an evocative voice and minimal accompaniment behind
her.It is very moving, I agree. There is a feeling of menace, as indeed is
also depicted in the video with the young girl. The singer is very expert at creating a sound of anguish and
desperation.Thumbs up for this one.
Mila-13: I will also be looking up more by her, as I love this kind of music and the instrumentation, looks like there's a lot on YT I can scope out. Sílvia Pérez Cruz “Mañana” Oh,
how very pretty. Simple with strings and
a lilting, expressive voice. Love the
bit of wistfulness in her voice, will look up the translation after I listen
through once first. There is a swell
near the end, vocally for just a perfect moment. The ends, as it began, with simplicity and
elegance. And, yes, there was
wistfulness, reading the translation.
Thank you for bringing this here. I also enjoyed the Russian artists....aside from the music, thought the little gloves with hearts on them in the audience was really sweet....different culture.
Honourable Mentions:
Raff:Sade “Is It A Crime”
MortSahlFan:Fairuz“Al Bosta” All of your selections were in my "second listen," ranking.
George: His
Choice: Bent Knee “Being
Human” All of your selections were also in my "second listen," ranking.
Kees:Henryk Gorecki
“Symphony n° 3: Symphony of Sorrowful Songs, 2nd movement, with Zofia
Kilanowicz (Soprano)”
Hiram:Lau Nau “ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIRi51OAs38" rel="nofollow - ” All of your selections were also in my "second listen," ranking.
Mike: Charming Hostess “Laws of Physics” All of your selections were also in my "second listen," ranking
tigerfeet:Anneli Drecker “Morning
Glory”
Dark
Ness:Cassandra Wilson “You Don’t Know What Love Is “ Both of your selections were also in my "second listen," ranking
The remainder of the entries were mostly not considered because of my familiarity with them. There were quite a few that are perfect illustrations of this category!
Thank you all for putting up with me being the last minute stand-in for Lorenzo, may he be back amongst us very soon! Also special thanks to George, as always for the playlists!

1. Broadcast - You Can Fall
2. Katinka - Idioter
3. Edda Dell'Orso / Ennio Morricone - Cosa avete fatto a Solange
Honourable mentions to Helium Horse Fly and Roberta Flack, both if which I'm going to investigate further.

1. Ennio Morricone ft. Edda dell'Orso - Cosa Avete Fatto a Solange (just a wonderful song; I will never stop loving major 7th chords)
2. Dida Dragan - Sa nu Lovim Nicicînd un Porumbel (some lovely chord progressions and a really powerful catchy chorus)
3. Bent Knee - Being Human (I'm not too familiar with Bent Knee but I'll definitely check up on them more because there's a lot of cool rhythmic and harmonic things going on in this song; I'm still only putting it at number three because aside from the airy opening it doesn't really hit me on a wistful/melancholic level like the other songs do)

I really enjoyed listening to this great musical variety of songs! Among them some true gems, new discoveries as well as unforgettable classics. It was a tough choice but these are the the songs that will finally get my vote.
Emotions,
they come in various forms, levels and
shades . .
Helium
Horse Fly - Adrift
is rather
on the dark side of the spectrum, a powerful expression of a spiritual condition, not necessarily
connected with a specific event or person. A ship adrift in the middle of the
ocean. - A musical masterpiece!
Fairuz –
Al Bosta
A
nostalgic memory of a beautiful relationship that arouse special feelings such
as enthusiasm, freedom and lightness. - I have
always associated this Lebanese diva with more traditional oriental music. This
recording brings funk, disco and jazz influences into the mix, though. What a lovely
surprise!
Ginevra
di Marco - Vedrai vedrai
A wondeful
homage to a legend of the classic canzone italiana, Luigi Tenco. Simply stunning!
A big thank you goes out to Lorenzo and Nickie for hosting and to Logan without whom I'd never been able to participate in this beautiful musical journey! Thanks everyone for your warm welcome and for the music!

Thank you very much for your friendly comment! I'm glad that you liked my choice. I wish I had the language skills to formulate my thoughts more accurately. But I will try my best.
Sadly we have only three votes. I enjoyed this beautiful tune of yours. What a fantastic collaboration this is, Olivia Chaney together with The Decemberists! I read that the band comes from Portland. Have you already attended one of their concerts? I noticed in your profile that you are from OR. Does that stand for Oregon?
As for the audience in the Russian concert video, well those two ladies have done a lot for the empowerment of women in Russia. Their career spans 25 year and therefore they have an a bit older audience. However they still manage to vow also a younger audience.

Listened a couple of times and I have enjoyed everything that was nominated. It's hard to choose just three, and so I will exclude everything I knew well, and this time I knew most of them well.
I love Broadcast and know that well, and it pains me not to give it a vote. The Noise Made by People is one of my very favourite albums of 2000, and Broadcast is one of the most important to me acts that I got into over the last five years. I love that Charming Hostess, but also know it so well (I suggested this band to PA). Love the Offa Rex, but I have known it well for some time. I really love that Tea and Symphony, but know it very well. Billie Holiday's Strange Fruit is wonderful, but I've known this for as long as I can remember (very glad it got mentioned). Love Bent Knee and knew this well. The Sandy Danny with Fairport Convention, Sinéad O'Connor, Susanne Sundfør, Janis Joplin, Roberta Flack, Piaf, Sade I also knew well.
So it's between eleven choices and even then it's hard choosing just three (this is in no particular order and each could get my vote).
Had fully thought to go with the Cruz, and it pains me not to, but sometimes if a tie I will go with those with no votes or less votes.

Without checking, I just assumed it was the other way around. My intuitions seem to get worse as I get older, as well as my accuracy.
Ah, well, I could have just as easily voted for several. Consider my appreciation to be an additional write-in vote. It was really tough just to choose three this round, and I would have liked to vote for all of those I mentioned of which I was lacking in familiarity. I think it's the write-ins and comments that matter more than the poll results itself. It's not a contest, of course. I really enjoyed your choice.
It was between yours and Monochrome for me particularly (love both, but the Monochrome is one I felt that I should already know which is what tipped the balance aside from its lack of votes so far). Yours on the hand might open more doors, so from that perspective I could have just as easily gone with that.
The limit of three votes is rarely ideal for me.

Thank you very much to those who have voted for Katinka - "Idioter". Very much appreciated
Second batch:
Ginevra di Marco - "Vedrai Vedrai" (jamesbaldwin)
The music is based on a piano. The vocals have a sense of resignation, and they are also quite melancholic. Composition-wise I think it is just a little too regular (based mostly on a sequence of fifths), but there's obviously a lot more expression in the vocals.
Dida Dragan – “Sa nu lovim nicicînd un porumbel” (Cristi)
Judging by the production values, I believe this must be from the 70's. As with the previous song, the vocals carry most of the weight. She has a lot of vibrato. I like some of the chord changes too, but genre-wise it is not so much me.
While I acknowledge the musical qualities of this, it doesn't really appeal to my taste. A bit like Arvo Pärt perhaps - who is not so much my cup of tea either. There is kind of a new age vibe to it.
Cara Dillon - "The Lark In The Clear Air" (Ronstein)
There are some very fine vocal phrasings here, but overall the song is a bit too much to the sentimental side to me.
Broadcast - "You Can Fall" (Lewian)
Now enter a more experimental and electronic area, so clearly this is more up my alley. The soundscape is quite analogue to my ears which is great. The vocals set in later. They are very understated which I really like. Like with Ginevra di Marco, there's a sense of resignation to it. I also like the organ. Contender.
Bent Knee – "Being Human" (mathman0806)
Begins with some interesting keyboards and slightly jazzy vocals. After the intro, the music turns very proggy, complete with advanced harmony, irregular bars and tempo changes. Very expressive vocals with many dynamic changes - interacts perfectly with the band. I like this a lot. Another contender.
Billie Holiday - "Strange Fruit" (Easy Money)
This is of course otherworldly in every way. Her voice sends a shiver down my spine. Unfortunately, since I already knew it well, it won't be a contender for my part. But it's a great choice!

1st - Roberta Flack - The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - even though I knew this song intimately, i just could not vote for another in its place so viola! Masterpiece ! 10/10
2nd - Janis Ian - Tea and Sympathy - This ones a real emotional dance and sends ones emotions out to the universe 10/10
3rd - Cara Dillon - The Lark in the Clear Air - Another masterpiece and so beautifully sung. all 3 selections are all wonderful stories and told with exceptional, emotional skill.
Here are some thoughts on the playlist:
1. Sade - It's a Crime - always love Sade and such a subtle
and smooth song - one of my all time favorites by her. Sultry, sexy, majestic! /7
2. Katinker - Idioter - Never heard of her before but really
enjoyed this style and magic of her voice - i liked the song and inflections
and still trying to work out the meaning of the lyrics /6
3. Charming Hostess - Laws of Physics - This one grew on me
after subsequent listenings - the guitar is cheeky and the lyrics are
ponderful. Quite the grungy emotion/ 6
4. Offa Rex - The Queen of Hearts - wow! nice harpsichord
and guitar - sweet vocals and mesmerizing atmosphere.Beautiful falsetto / 7
5. Lau Nau - Juokse sinä humma - Finnish tends to be a very
musical language - the track started out easy going but then the wild violin
took over the song - which made it for me and the vocals were spot on and
percussion and time change towards the end. /8
6. Helium Horse Fly - Adrift - Very mysterious and floaty -
the lyrics poetic and vocals intense and heart-dragging. Interesting
composition with some nice changes in minor and major, and the trip of the
guitar and drum led adventure was surprising . Emotional enough to warrant /8
7. Lush - Monochrome - Very nice production and soft and
gentle vocals - loved this song - /7
8. Ginevra Di Marco - Vedrai vedrai - Once again, pure,
expressive, sensitive, passionate- all the ingredients and the whole song moved
me and embraced me with its mist. /8
9. Dida Drăgan - Să nu lovim nicicînd un porumbel - Grand
and overt - emotional enough /7
10. Cara Dillon - The Lark in the Clear Air - "It's a
poem" only 8 lines 2 verses but so much honesty and intensity in there it
immediately struck me and for this a /10
11. Broadcast - You Can Fall - Interesting tune, and I got
the song, the lyrics and music. /6
12. Bent Knee - Being Human - did not expect this to be so
enjoyable and the song gets more interesting as it progresses along and her
voice is so versatile and very pleasing. /8
13. Billie Holiday Strange Fruit - It is interesting how
styles of vocals can affect a song and as usual Billy does this really well.
There is something about the quality and variance of her voice and feelings. /7
14. Sinéad O'Connor - Nothing Compares - It is hard to
dispute the depth of emotion and lyrical expression. A song I always like but
cannot vote for as i know every nuance of the track. /7
15. Fairport Convention - One More Chance - A lovely
nostalgic emotional empowered song. Very nice track over all and a personal
playlist addition /7
16. Edith Piaf - Non, Je ne regrette rien - Another very
emotionally and expressively sung track. I enjoyed this one especially as it is
something i would not normally listen to. /7
17. Janice Joplin - Piece of My Heart - This one is so
classic it is hard to comment on and there are so many versions, this being one
of the best. You can hear the emotion and the channeling of energy and soul. /8
18. Fairuz - Al Bosta - Wonderful vocal control - lyrically
a good story of traveling and observation. /7
19. Tea and Sympathy - Janis Ian - Brilliant - simple, old
school but it works and the vocals are genuine - brought a few tears to my eyes
- bravo !/10
20. Susanne Sundfør - Undercover - Elegantly executed and
soft and tender - it drew me in and swirled me around. It took me to heights
and left me there. /8
21. Cassandra Wilson - You Don't Know What Love Is - This
one certainly makes you listen. All encompassing and makes you feel you are in
the room with her. Beautifully done - so exquisite /9
22. Anelli Drecker -Morning Glory - It's all about the lyrics and vocal interpretation. She
keeps it close to the Tim Buckly original which is understandable.
I lit my purest candle close to my
Window, hoping it would catch the eye
Of any vagabond who passed it by
And I waited in my fleeting house
Before he came I felt him drawing near;
As he neared I felt the ancient fear
That he had come to wound my door and jeer
And I waited in my fleeting house
"Tell me stories," I called to the Hobo;
"Stories of cold," I smiled at the Hobo;
"Stories of old," I knelt to the Hobo;
And he stood before my fleeting house
"No," said the Hobo, "No more tales of time;
Don't ask me now to wash away the grime;
I can't come in 'cause it's too high a climb,"
And he walked away from my fleeting house
"Then you be damned!" I screamed to the Hobo;
"Leave me alone," I wept to the Hobo;
"Turn into stone," I knelt to the Hobo;
And he walked away from my fleeting house"
23. Roberta Flack - The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face -
This has to be the winner for me for sure.
It always makes for some kind of emotion and sometimes you just can't
listen to it. This is one of those songs so many musicians want to emulate and
cover. So, so, special. /10
25. Ennio Morricone - Cosa avete fatto a Solange? -
Introspective and silky - slowly draws one into the flight of a journey
somewhere you just want the song to take you. Lovely vocals and movement of the
song in general. Slight melancholic and reminiscence. This one may have done it
for me and the sound track album is great! /9
This poll was quite exhausting but highly rewarding !

I apologize for being late to the party, but I needed to listen to the whole playlist at least three times in order to make my top 3 picks. This time around, I was familiar with a whopping 9 songs out of 26 (including my own pick, of course), which - as I usually do - I ruled out from my final selections. So I had to choose among the remaining ones. Here's my top 3:
- Charming Hostess - Law of Physics: a very original piece of music in one of my favourite styles, and a homage to Jewlia Eisenberg, who passed away in March at only 50 years of age;
- Broadcast - You Can Fall: a beautiful, haunting song from a band I will definitely check out in the future;
- Lau Nau - Juokse sinä humma: lovely and folksy, reminiscent of their fellow Finns Värttinä. Another band to check out.
Honourable mentions: Cassandra Wilson (gorgeous jazz torch song), Fairuz (reminds me of when I used to practice belly dancing), Helium Horse Fly (gloomy and drone-y, but haunting).
A huge thank you to Lorenzo for a fantastic poll! So glad to see you have been around. Once again, all our best wishes for a prompt recovery!

The best for me are Charming Hostess - Offa Rex - Lau Nau - Helium Horse Fly - Bent Knee - and the Morning Glory cover version. Out of competition (because known): Sade - Sinead O'Connor - Cassandra Wilson - Roberta Flack.
As unfortunately there's too much work these days, I vote intuitively, maybe not giving enough of a chance to some:
Offa Rex (Nicky how do you do that all the time? Another melody that does the magic for me, and the kind of understated but still refined delivery that I love)
Morning Glory (this is such a glorious song and so well done - maybe too close to the original but I don't mind)
Bent Knee (these should be known by Prog fans, no? I think it's only the second song I hear of them, gotta check them out - convincing song writing, top singing, and sophisticated music masterfully brought together)

Awwwww shucks! I guess I just get lucky with hearing things, I'm almost always listening to something or other. I am glad you've enjoyed them and even if I don't always vote "for" something of yours, it's always intriguing and usually gets several listens....also, I do think listening to your more avant stuff has truly made my ears more appreciated of it's nuances. So thank you.

Sorry this is so late, but I've been buried with Bios in the Archives and busy at home, so it took a while before I could hear everything. There were so many great submissions this time. Typically, Bent Knee and Helium Horse Fly would have both been in the running, but I became a big fan of both bands from their recent releases. Many of the other entries I was already familiar with. But here is my top 3 nonetheless:
1. Offa Rex - Great selection Nickie. Love this! Will be looking into this much more.
2. Broadcast - Another great song from them. I have heard some of their music, but not enough to consider myself extremely familiar, but I always love their sound and style.
3. Ginevra di Marco - Lorenzo has made me discover Italian music all over again. Get well soon my friend.

Glad that you joined those who found them worthy, Mike. One of those who almost passed under the radar, but for my drive into town the day I heard them on the radio.

Last batch
Fairuz “Al Bosta” (MortSahlFan)
Contains a Middle Eastern or Mediterranean singing style to a late 70's production with funk and disco elements. I like it a lot, especially the vocals, but for music of that type it is a tad too long.
Apart from a violin solo halfway, this one only contains vocals and acoustic guitar. We're in the melancholic area once again, and the vocals are in the jazzy department. Overall I think it's a tad too low-key for my taste.
Anneli Drecker – “Morning Glory” (tigerfeet)
Is it a cover version of Tim Buckley? I admit I am not at all familiar with his music, so I cannot judge how similar or different it is from the original. Not an uninteresting song, and it should be a possible contender. To be honest, the vocal performance is not necessarily the most outstanding element for me.
Roberta Flack – “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” (dwill)
I am not kidding you. "Killing Me Softly" is the only song performed by Roberta Flack I have actually heard, and it is one I don't like very much. This is much better. The instrumentation is quite dark and a bit mystic, and it plays perfectly with the singing. As the strings set it, it becomes a little too sugary for my taste. But there's no denying there's a lot of intensity present in the recording.
Silvia Pérez Cruz “Mañana” (Mila)
This one would have been a "vise" in Denmark too. There's a pleasantly dry sound emphasizing the pure acoustic sound of the instruments. Subtle vocal performance too with a virtuose use of vibrato and dynamic variation. Contender.
Ennio/Edda “Cosa” (Logan)
The album cover suggests its from a 1960's horror film. There are some nice jazzy chords, and the general feel is quite cinematic. The staccato strings make me associate with horror too (f.e. Psycho), but otherwise the music is very smooth. Perhaps a bit too smooth for my taste. The vocals are entirely wordless, and the singing works more like an instrument on par with the rest of the arrangement.

^ Thanks for the comments, Anders. Cosa avete fatto a Solange? (film released in 1972)is one of my favourite Ennio Morricone soundtracks for its dark jazzy qualities. The opening track is, as one other PA poster put it a decade ago, pure ear candy and it probably does work better in contrast to the rest (a problem with sharing soundtrack music, and that themes are sometimes developed more). It is a mystery/horror/thriller film.
This is the track that follows it on the OST:
As many are aware, I have a serious love for soundtrack music, and Morricone is one of my favourite composers. I knew I wanted to do an Edda Dell'Orso and was never quite sure which one I most wanted to highlight for this theme.
------------- Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

I was already familiar with the Offa Rex album, and this is the reason why I did not vote for their song. I have made it a personal rule to avoid voting for music I already know. If I hadn't, "The Queen of Hearts" would definitely have been one of my top 3 picks.

Same rule here, Raff. I can't be sure if it appeals to me by familiarity or completely on it's own.

These are my votes:
Lau Nau - "Juokse sinä humma" (Hiram)
Broadcast - "You Can Fall" (Lewian)
Janis Ian “Tea and Sympathy” (yam yam)
Honorable mentions:
Charming Hostess - "Laws of Physics" (TCat)
Offa Rex's "The Queen of Hearts," (Snicolette)
Helium Horse Fly - Adrift (I prophesy disaster)
Bent Knee – "Being Human" (mathman0806)
Anneli Drecker – “Morning Glory” (tigerfeet)
Silvia Pérez Cruz “Mañana” (Mila)
Considering the number of participants, wouldn't it make sense to vote for more than three songs? Maybe five. There are too many songs I desperately want to vote for.

The results are on top of each page of this thread...
Actually, we hardly ever discuss the results - the most interesting parts of these Interactive Polls happens before. What is interesting to see here though is that the votes are rather nicely spread - probably shows the quality of what was on offer - and that no option is left with a blank score.

Yes, I did notice the scoreboard before but I thought that the voting was not yet over since there was no discussion about the results. I joined the poll last minute and missed therefore most of the discussion. I appreciate very much that the focus is on the music itself!

Many thanks to Kees for answering! Yes, Mila-13, the votes are really kind of a coda, I suppose, for the polls, it seems as though we're all in it more for the sharing, discussion, exposure for artists, than the actual vote.
