Again, MULTIPLE is ON! Selecting ALL tracks you like is encouraged!
NOTE: I'll probably get a complaint or two for leaving off In the Court of the Crimson King, and A Farewell to Kings. I decided to leave them off because they're obvious run-aways, and I like these polls to be as much about discovering new music as "winning" (and there wasn't room to fit all selections anyway). If you MUST select one of them feel free to select OTHER, and comment on it. Thanks!

Out of this list it's "Nine Funerals Of The Citizen King", but if Return To Forever's "Song To The Pharoah Kings" were an option I'd vote for it in a heartbeat

Chocolate Kings; my favorite album by PFM. In the 1970s, they were invited to play at a high school in my current home of Ottawa, Canada, and at last minute's notice, flew over and played! I did not see it but heard about it years later. So cool!

Many good tracks in this poll, which makes it difficult to choose a favorite. I'll stick with PFM for now, but Herny Cow and Soft Machine are also quite nice.

Kings And Queens by Aerosmith is a pretty great track I don't see on here.
------------- Porg for short. My love of music doesn't end with prog! Feel free to discuss all sorts of music with me. Odds are I'll give it a chance if I haven't already! :)

King of Pain - The Police.
Sorry, but I consider The Police to be a progressive rock band not matter what you guys say. Maybe not the hits, but they have some very cool deep cuts that mix punk, rock, reggae and prog.

Wishbone Ash, "The King Will Come." Excellent!
Also, a shout-out to the late Peter Banks! Co-written with his friend, Jan Akkerman of Focus!

I picked Haken's Cockroach King. Marillion's King would be my second choice. Another ELO tune not mentioned is their cover of Grieg's In the Hall of the Mountain King. If I might add, it's well worth a listen.

Not a huge Haken fan, but "Cockroach King" is one of the few stellar songs that I remember and praise.

Some great choices, and plenty I haven't heard yet. I appreciate the Steely Dan additions, considering those two (particularly the latter) are some of their more art rock-y compositions.
I would add King Kong by Zappa to the list, though I'm not sure I'd pick it. Especially not the Uncle Meat version. I like the one on Make a Jazz Noise Here, which is technically an amalgam of different live takes from the '88 tour. The one on YCDTOSA Vol. III is also a very obvious amalgam, since he switches live performances from throughout his various lineups, including the one at the Rainbow, very soon before he was pushed off stage by a rabid fan and fell in the pit, breaking many bones. This confined him to a wheel chair for a bit, and lowered his voice by a third. But I love that one because during a section with the '82 band, which must have also been London at the Hammersmith Odeon, he references the guy from three years ago who recited poetry when they were playing Yellow Snow, a feat which can be heard on YCDTOSA Vol I.

The Who's cover of HOTMK (in the poll) is pretty cool:

The King Will Come, and you could stick any other track with King in it and the answer would be the same.
The King Crimson and Rush tracks don't come close to this utter masterpiece.

Kamelot's Once and Future King is a great song, and surprised to see it here. I guess it is one of their "bonus tracks". I must have listened to it from a compilation album. Ah, I guess its name is The Myths and Legends of Kamelot.
There are several other songs that I love among the options, but gonna vote for Kamelot as it hasn't received any yet.

The poll consists of whatever is in my library. Not sure if its a bonus track; I came upon several Kamelot albums a couple years ago, but admit I haven't heard them all yet. Decent prog metal I think.

^ I don't think Kamelot is prog metal at all. But a non-typical power metal.

From this list I choose Haken and Focus. Two others are Konungen Ochtrollkvinnan (The King and the Enchantress) by Gjallarhorn and this one:

Well, the band is listed on PA under the "Progressive Metal" category. I suppose this is part of the endless debate about what is "progressive", but "not-typical" might be considered Prog. Without listening more, I don't have an opinion.
