This may have been done before, but I gave JTTCOTE a spin the other afternoon and greatly enjoyed it. A pivotal album for Wakeman. Your thoughts.

It's a very close call, but my vote goes to "Side Two" for its triumphant ending and for his creative use of Grieg's "In the Hall of the Mountain King". This is just one of those albums I could never grow tired of in spite of the various complaints (including from Rick himself) people have made about it over the years. I've refused to listen to the studio re-recording, and I remember being disappointed when I first heard Return because he never quoted or referenced the music from Journey!

I'll also go with Side B. Classic Wakeman, baby.

I don't know. Side A has the classic Journey theme, which is really great, but The Battle and the ending with In the Hall of the Mountain King are really great too.

I'm going with Side 1 because the intro always refuse to leave my memory (and that's for a good reason: pure symphonic joy). Nevertheless, The Battle deserves love too, being the most original sounding piece in the album.

Ok, I guess side one, for that beginning is like the main recognizable part of the album, like, if they had made a single from it that should have been it.
