This one apparently hasn't been done in over ten years. Anyway, both bands are among the very few modern bands who have albums in the top 100 on here.

Good poll. Wobbler is awesome, but Anglagard is awesomer!

I prefer the melodic beauty of Wobbler.

For what I know from them, Anglagard easily. Hybris is one of the best things to come since the 70's.

If you hadn’t mentioned the lack of accents, I would have assumed it was accidental.
But if you are knowingly leaving them out, it is quite ignorant and rude. 🙄

I only know one Wobbler album and as great as that album is, Änglagård music is extra special and gets my vote.

Absolutely Anglagard. Despite I like very much of Wobbler, Anglagard is many stepps above, without any kind of question in my prog world.

Tough to vote as the two are such different entities--fit differing moods for the listener:  Wobbler is more enjoyable and easier to listen to, but Änglagård is far more sophisticated and complex and, ultimately, more rewarding (for the effort). Also, Wobbler frustrates and disappoints me when I find riffs/motifs lifted directly from past masters.

Not intentionally rude; just lazy. Wink The last option was meant as a joke though. I didn't think anyone would be that much of a stick in the mud to actually vote for it. I guess I was wrong. Confused

I don't care for either band, so that's what I voted.

Personally I don’t care for either. It’s all very well played but to me they both sound as if a computer has been given a list of the best prog bands from the 70’s and told to make a “new” album out of them

Possibly Wobbler.

I fell in love with Hybris in the late 90's, but Epilog and Viljans Oga didn't impress me that much.
Wobbler has a consistent discography through the years.
Voted Both Equally.

Änglagård is the better of the two. Wobbler has all the ingredients but falls short when it comes to serving the actual meal.

So are they the dessert or the appetizer?

The meal consists of anywhere from three courses and up: multiple appetizers, soup/salad, the main course and dessert.

Now, had I said entrée, your joke might have landed. WinkLOL

Wobbler. I love all their albums.

I listen to Änglagård, great music, but it never completely caught me. Perhaps because I haven’t dedicated enough time to really listen. Most of my listening is done while doing other things and Änglagård feels more challenging. It also took some time and listening until I truly got Wobbler.

Edit: I just listened through Änglagård's studio albums, and realized one reason why I prefer Wobbler is the vocals. In general, I prefer listening to music with vocals. The Wobbler albums also flow better, whereas Änglagård jumps a lot around in style. Not that it's a bad thing, but a more rhythmic album works better for me.

Yep. Gone are the days when people just sit in chair or on a couch just listening. Now it's reading facebook while listening to starship trooper or camera eye.

I'm not very familiar with either band and voted accordingly. I've heard Wobbler's Dwellers of the Deep that I liked quite a bit. I knew I'd heard an Änglagård album, but couldn't remember its name and when I looked at their discography page didn't recognize any of the covers, and then realized I was thinking Älgarnas Trädgård. LOL

One day I'll take time to get to know Änglagård and more Wobbler.

As with me.
But I am victim of the modern sound system: headphones and streaming. And, yes, life has so many distractions it's much more difficult to find straight, unbroken time within which to sit with the music, the album, the lyrics and liner notes. Ahh! How I miss my bachelor days and the dear little lake-side windsurfing cabin I rented in rural Michigan! That's when music could really enter my soul!
