^^ Paul, that's a brilliant list, with half a dozen 5 star albums..

So, I've been a bit controversial and voted for my fave Jadis album, because I don't think anyone else will... Embarrassed

Well done! Clap

I think with these polls, it's quite easy to vote for Marillion or DT, but it's just not as interesting if you do...

I predict a win for Marilllion in this poll, but my prediction has probably doomed them to lose now, if past experience is anything to go by. Tongue

Lots of great albums here with Songs of Distant Earth and Talk being my favorites. This was a year where prog was hitting a new stride.

I never understand this thought process, unless you really can’t choose between albums and want to push one or other further up - surely the idea is to accurately account for the favourite across all voters?….

I could've chosen from any one of eleven 5-star favourites in this poll, but my natural instinct was to vote for the least likely artist to win (Sally Oldfield) because I guessed Marillion would get more than enough votes to win without any help from me. Smile

Par Lindh Project - Gothic Impressions.
I actually bought this at the ELP 25th Anniversary convention in Birmingham which he attended in person!

really pleased to here that Paul. The next two studio releases (Mundus Incompertus and Veni Vidi Vici) are also excellent featuring the talented Magda Hagberg on lead vocals and violin. Sadly she is no longer with us and joined the great prog band in the sky some time ago.

Marillion > Yes > Pink Floyd > Jon Anderson.

For this listener, Brave remains by far the best album by anybody from the 1990's.

And of course, here's my shout out to John Wetton's Battle Lines album!

John Wetton's Battle Lines would've made a nice substitute for ELP, seeing as no one's ever likely to vote for In the Hot Seat. Smile

I love The Division Bell, one of my favourites from Floyd. Songs from Distant Earth is great too. There are many I don't know here, though.

Number of albums I'd listened to in the poll before 2010 = 3 (Mike Oldfield; Pink Floyd; Vangelis)

Number of albums I've listened to in the poll now = All 25

Number of CD albums I currently own in the poll = 4 (Dead Can Dance; Mike Oldfield; Pink Floyd; Vangelis)

Voted for..... Sally Oldfield Heart

Collage Moonshine is one of the albums that has connected most with me over the years and it helped  launched the careers of several other great Polish prog acts.  Their recent comeback album is pretty good too
