What about Tony Iommi?

Totally different styles of guitar playing. Martin Barre's playing is (IMHO) far more melodic and interesting. Mick Abrahams is very good, but somewhat generic. I prefer his work with Blodwyn Pig.

Mick Abrams has always been a straight blues player, and quite a good one. Martin can also play straight blues but he is a much more rounded and diverse player.

Of course I’ll vote for Martin Barre, even though I like Mick Abrahams very much. Tull got it’s progressive side when Martin joined, and remained relevant because of his guitar work.

This is just no contest. You could almost say that the only one true guitar player of Jethro Tull is Martin Barre.
