Suddenly I remembered Bubu and the 40-year gap between their debut "Anabelas" and its late successor "El Eco del Sol". Then I came up with the task of bands with an extended lapse of time between their debut album and their second album. No matter for what reasons. The case of the Spanish band Gotic is a bit different, their debut album Escenes is from 1978 (actually recorded in 1977). In 1978 they recorded a second album but it was never released, it remained as a sort of mystery, to many the existence of those lost tapes was just a myth. But finally the lost album was recovered and released in 2016. |
