These are 25 acts with music that I like, not all are in PA but the majority are, please vote for three of these acts (or more or less). One vote per act, please.
While watching the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics when music was being played I mentioned to my wife hoping to see Air perform, and indeed Air did make a showing (love Air). While she does not like Air as much as Weyes Blood, which I also exposed her too, it is one of her favourites of what I often have played in the car. I try for generally inoffensive, most harmless one might say, music when I have passengers. That said, for her Air is no Air Supply. And certainly no ABBA. There's a good one per my tastes not on the list. I was going to include Animals and Asylum party too but wanted to focus more on things in PA. And I could have included Astra, Astra Xhol Caravan, and Agalloch (love The Mantle)... They just keep coming to mind, will stick with the first 25 to spring to mind already in the list.
If you don't like anything, or even if you do, feel free to mention your favourite A's not in the list. And happy to hear about what you dislike too. Even when thought bad, it's probably all good for me (meaning both the music and comments).
------------- Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Proper fan of Art Zoyd and Amon Düül II here. Other good ones follow in some distance. Third vote goes to Area followed by Art Bears, Aksak Maboul, Aranis and Aphex Twin.

Astra would've been second on my list if they'd been in the poll.

I'll go with Air and Art Zoyd, and while usually I probably would go with Area, for the third I want to go with something that so far hasn't a vote... Will go with Aphex Twin.

Only Atomic Rooster but then I don't even listen to them that much. Carl Palmer went on to greater things blah blah.. Agusa are quite a nice recent find from the Norwegian mob plus I have a soft spot for US retro prog rockers Astra.

^ I have enjoyed Agusa, especially for last year's Prima Materia, and Astra too. I don't listen to Atomic Rooster much either, but Death Walks Behind You is one of my preferred albums, and more-so especially one of my favourite title tracks in PA's Heavy Prog category.

It wasn't easy to narrow the list down to just 25 favourites. I started with over 40 to begin with.

And I forgot to mention Agitation Free. I forgot that for my list and then again from your list (sometimes I can't see the forest for the trees). Malesch was the first Krautrock album I really got into.

Voted: Art Zoyd, Rabih Abou-Khalil & Area
I think if I were to make a top five these would take up the following spots: Amon Düül II (but it pains me to leave them out of the tree first) & Aphex Twin
-followed by: After Dinner, Aksak Maboul, Air
+ two one album wonders: Archaia & Arzachel
...and outside of my top ten is: Abus Dangereux - but only because I find their second and third album somewhat lightweight and forgettable. Love their debut just as much as anything by those "who made the list".
I listened to the Automat-suite for the first time in years just the other day. I've played it twice in the last couple of weeks actually. Thorougly enjoyable, but the B-side is a little patchier imo.
-I've fallen out of love with Dagmar's voice, and cannot listen to an album with her singing in full anymore. But Art Bears is top quality of course, and I can still enjoy the odd song or two every once in a while. Except for the three bands I've yet to hear: Alio Die, The Antlers and Jupiter Apple - I do enjoy music from every option in the poll.

The two I most regret not including in this poll are A.R. & Machines and Ash Ra Tempel. I really did put little thought into this and covered acts on the most part that I have played recently. That said, I should not regret as just as I encourage others to list their favourites both on AND off the list, I too can list any favourites not on the list. :) And of course it's only 25 options and I go with what I think of first commonly.
