I don't know if anyone has already come across this band, but New Ghost's debut full length album is stunning and one of my top picks from 2024.
Check them out here: https://newghostband.bandcamp.com/album/a-dagger-in-every-tide

Band Name: New Ghost
Subgenre: Psychedelic/Space Rock (probably)
Biography: New Ghost is a band based in Sheffield, UK, made up of Tara Ali, Nic Bowden, Gareth Hughes, Ellie Richards, Joe Richards and Chris Anderson. They released their first EP "Burning Out" in 2018 and mini album "New Ghost Orchestra" in 2019 before finishing their first full length album in 2024.
They are best described as Dream Prog Metal, thanks to their unique blend of heaviness, dreamy melodies and rock ethic. At different moments they bring to mind OCEANSIZE, DEFTONES and MOGWAI among others.
All of their releases are available on Bandcamp: https://newghostband.bandcamp.com/
There isn't much information on them available online, but they also have a Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Newghostband/

Enjoy!

Their music has been described as a unique blend that encompasses elements of post-rock, prog and shoegaze, and they don't really naturally fit into any particular genre.

Peter Hilton of the Progressive Aspect has written a very favourable review of their latest album: 'A Dagger in Every Tide' here:  https://theprogressiveaspect.net/blog/2024/11/21/new-ghost-a-dagger-in-every-tide/" rel="nofollow - https://theprogressiveaspect.net/blog/2024/11/21/new-ghost-a-dagger-in-every-tide/ .

We can evaluate them for crossover, once we have a biography. Smile

When I saw the title in Actie Topics, I was hoping it might be a new album from the Japanese band Ghost, which is included in PA's Psych/Space category. https://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=2594" rel="nofollow - https://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=2594 2004's Hypnotic Underworld is one of my favourite albums of the 21st Century.

As for this New Ghost, I;m hearing an interesting kinds of alt rock., Indie, post-rock, shoegaze, dream pop, heavy rock.... Not striking me as right for Psych. More like Crossover to these ears for its alternative qualities, a category Cristi mentions above.

Warren's biography in his o.p. isn't all that bad really. It's a bit short and sweet, but I reckon the essential info is there (eg line-up, origin and what the band sounds like). In any case, I can add plenty more to it if we clear the band for Crossover. Smile

We have the list of musicians that played and contributed to the band, but who plays what...

Please help if you find the line-up information

edit: David (yam yam) helped me figure out the line-ups, I hope I got it right.
If not, you can report to the E & O team. Smile

Sorry for the very slow reply. It was difficult finding much information on the band, so great job completing the biography, thanks!
Hopefully it will help these guys get some more recognition. They are extremely talented so I am all for encouraging them to keep at it!
