for me...."The World Is My Oyster Soup Kitchen Floor Wax Museum" by King Crimson.

Aside from the unforgivable stolen Will Smith lyric 'GET JIGGY WITH IT!', the whole track is unlistenable for me.

I can't say i hate it, it's just nothing special.
A New Machine part 1 & 2 are so pointless, they bring nothing to the album, breaking its flow.

I would say "Anything She Does" and "Illegal Alien" by Genesis, off the top of my head. There is much to choose from the 1980s. I don't hate the ones posted before me. In fact I like "The World Is My Oyster Soup Kitchen Floor Wax Museum" quite a lot. It sounds much like a title I would come up for my own project.

Camel - Remote Romance
Renaissance - Camera Camera (the whole album, I can't choose the worst track)
as Cristi says, A New Machine is the only PF track(s) that I usualy skip.

All the Yes/Anderson/ABWH songs when there are "salsa like" percussion

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

It was a toss up really - the two parts of 'A New Machine' sound a bit weedy, and the lyrics are nothing special, but there's something about the whole tone of 'Dogs of War' that has always irritated me.

IMO there are two excellent songs on MLR - 'Sorrow' and 'Yet Another Movie'.
Two more decent tracks - 'Learning to Fly' and 'One Slip'.
The rest of the album being pretty much filler.

On the Turning Away is good, and even better live on DSOT.

Maybe I just don’t get it … but Neurotica by Rush.

I would rather do an all day marathon of just Tai Shan, which is actually a nice song, than listen to Neurotica.

I’m not a fan of Driven either. It sounds like a sea shanty on steroids. And Roll the Bones … no thank you.

I really like Rush up to Hold Your Fire and I like Counterparts and smatterings here and there.

I could make a list of Genesis songs I dislike, but that would be Many Too Many.

Agreed, OTTA is pretty decent too.

Tangerine Dream hadn't done much wrong up until 1982, when they made a soundtrack for "Das Maedchen auf der Treppe", an episode of Tatort, a popular series of whodunnits in Germany. That single with the title track actually charted in Germany, so it brought them some money, which is fair enough, but it was the most boring TD track by some distance I had heard at that point, and I still don't like it (they went mostly downhill from there for quite some time, unfortunately). Chances are this is one of these things that works well as a soundtrack but not on its own (my way of explaining why this was a success after all). It's actually a remix of some material from White Eagle, which is pretty good but takes enough time to let the music develop.

Massive respect for typing the ä umlaut as "ae" rather than "a". :)
