This is a painfull issue... I recently downloaded an album by MIRIODOR; I think it's called "Third Warning". While listening to it, I remembered that I knew the album already. I heard it once, on a radio show; many many years ago. I had it on a tape, wich eventually died (I mean exactly that; the tape died, crushed by a friend and his terrible need to rest). As a latin-american person (and very young; I was 12), the name of the band sounded like those Charlie Brown adult caracters to me, so, after the funeral of the tape; I never knew how to get that album again. The same process for a lot of other tapes. This is gaving me nightmares... I remember another album from a guitar player; a very loud form of rock jazz with a very light acoustic guitar song at the end of it. Lots of effects and keyboards, electric chorus, etc. It was an instrumental album and, as I said, I have nightmares about the music and me not being able to remember the name. I think it was a "John" Something. the something sounded like "going". Now, once again, share your tears about those long lost no names albums that you think you'll never find again. It could be... ¿does he fits my description?. I'm searching for a very elaborated form of Jazz - fusion, probably from the 80's. Some of the chords reminded me of some Hackett's instrumentals. ------------- ¡Beware of the Bee! |

Maybe it was Jean Luc Ponty (Jean sounds like John). Some of his lps have incredibly volatile jazz-rock guitar solos. E.g., Egocentric Molecules on his "Imaginary Voyager" lp. ------------- "The red polygon's only desire / is to get to the blue triangle." |
