Does anyone out there know where a Yank like myself can get good access to prog music at a reasonable price.  I'm looking to get some IQ disks (Ever, Seventh House), and cdnow wants more than $30! I just purchased Dark Matter and loved it, but that was just because its a US release. It looks like the rest are imports.

Are there other reputable internet sites with a good selection of prog?

All help is appreciated!

I'm based in the Uk, but US friends give good reports of Artist Shop based on the east coast:

http://www.artist-shop.com/ - http://www.artist-shop.com/

For IQ you could got straight to source in (old) Hampshire in the UK with an e.mail to:

mailto:[email protected] - [email protected]

and you might be surprised who replies to your enquiry.

Thank you Mr. Heath.  I looked at that site, and they definitely had better prices than cdnow.

Has anybody ever used Big Balloon Music?  There is a link on this site, and its prices look good, but I've never heard of it.  I'm interested in your opinions.

I find the 2nd hand vinyl shops a great source - but why not buy over the internet if it's CDs you're after? http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/search-handle-form/202-2991306-2168614 - Amazon isn't bad - I've had many bargains from there (note I've already searched for GG!!!). http://search.ebay.co.uk/gentle-giant_CDs_W0QQcatrefZC12QQsacategoryZ1049QQsoloctogZ3 - eBay can also turn up some real steals - and I use the word advisedly! caveat emptor - but it can be great.

Note also that my links are UK only

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/search-handle-url/index=music&field-keywords=IQ&search-type=ss&bq=1&store-name=music/ref=xs_ap_l_xgl15/103-4176591-0822227 - Here 's a search for IQ on Amazon US - the prices look good to me, and Amazon are definitely reputable.
