Hello Miyaru! Dark Matter has become my all time fav IQ album. The epic track 'harvest of the souls' is simply breath taking, taking the listener through several mood changes and thought provoking lyrics too. I love the whole album ![]()

IQ have been one of my favourite bands for a long time.DM is sort of 'middling' for me..better than Nomzamo,Are You Sitting Comfortably and Seven Stories into Ninety Eight but not as good as The Wake,Tales..,Ever and Seventh House. The main problem is '

They aren't necessarily against america, but against american government, and that speaks a lot to the teens and up coming generation of America which is why this cd was distributed massively in america. The lyrics on the CD are, as aforementioned by so

I think its shamelessly derivative, Harvest of Souls goes through at least two Genesis rip offs (Ripples, Apocalyspe in 9/8) and two Yes rip offs (Gates of Delerium, Heart of the Sunrise), surely most of you have noticed?. For these reasons I find it

Surely you should write music about what's important to you, thus if politics is of great import to a songwriter (and surely it should be of at least some importance to everybody), it makes sense to write songs about it, or related to it. Likew

Hi Jools, i think that also sacred sound (especially the beginning and the end) sounds somehow like watcher of the skies. Howerever i like that Cd very much, even if Ever is probably my IQ favourite

I saw IQ perform the whole album recently and I like it even more now.Expansive,ambitious (despite the 'borrows') and demanding something of the listener as prog should be.

Are you fighting for the freedom of others or for oil now that your contracts with Saudi Arabia are in danger? I don't remember of any American soldier in countries where there are problems of freedom but no econmical interests.

They are not bashing America, but a particular American foreign policy - the first section of 'Harvest of Souls' shows a sympathy for this country's vulnerability after (at least I interpret it that way) the horrible 9/11 events. But well

I just bought Dark Matter and was totally blown away by the first track. What I found funny though, was that during my first listen, I hardly ever focus on the lyrics, I just lie back and close my eyes, but during the Harvest of Souls track, the lyrics got

I really like Dark Matter, although it wasn't my fav. cd of 2004 (that spot was filled by that really BIG DIGIBOOK Marbles by Marillion) Though, I enjoy listening to Seventh House more than listening to DM. I suppose that this is one of tho
