Subject: A slow, prog discussion

I have a new idea in ways to approach a conversation about prog on this site. It's called, slow chat.

It goes like this,
I say stuff, as many posts as I like about a topic, just one mind you, and once I have finnally complete what I'm saying, I'll permit you all to discuss what you think about all my ideas and overall view of the topic I picked. You review or question what I said once I am alltogether done with my topic discution. Eventually when our conversation between eachother is done, someone else can make thier personal feelings of thier topic related to prog music. And to repeat the cycle, when that person is done and allows us to, we can discuss the thing.

Basically, the point of this, slow chat, is to have a discussion while everyone in it understands the others whole view of something, not just one post of what they said.

By the way, you are highly recomended to oppose the person's thoughts, and tell them why you don't agree with them, it will be a higher intelectual argument because the opposer understands everything about someone, not just saying they dissagree because they read one post.

If you still don't understand, I'll start us off and you can follow.

First topic: CTTE, what I think about it.

At first I didn't like CTTE, it seemed that no matter how many times I listened, I never liked it that much, but I well understood it and knew the music fairly well from all the voluntary listens I gave to it. I quit on it, after getting very frustrated.

I have now tried it about 3 weeks since my last listen and I have to say, I agree with the majority this time.

This album is so intense and full of so much information, if you are really thinking and using your immagination, your head will hurt from all that it has taken in. I got so "lost" on this album, it was like the music was a magical journey that I got thrown in the wrong path and got lost into.

Incredible album, it's so catchy just like a pop song. Except this is a super-pop song, or a song with numerous addicting great melodies, singing, and feeling that no pop song or prog song can compare with it.
I love it. Great song, 10/10, perfect!

I have chosen to stop talking about this album now, (to make it easy on you), so that I can allow the rest of you to talk, you now have permission to talk and discuss on what I said. Feel free to dissagree, and feel free to start your very own topic once we decide this discussion is over.

Now, everyone discuss, NOW!

Man, you are funny.

No one stops you to post a full & wide response or do it on your own thread.

If you'll choose to do so, many will read & think and answer the same way (others will not. That is their coice and there is nothing you can do to avoid them do so).

I must admit I needed many listens to get into CTTE but now I think it is great. I still prefer other albums of KC, VDGG & PF to name a few but that is so subjective and not very important. The whole thing of the greatest prog album is silly IMO.

Yessongs came first for me so it took me a couple spins to get used to the studio version of CTTE but now they are both essential. Didn't have that problem with "And You and I" though loved both immediately.

Can I change the topic now?

Ya go ahead and post as long as you want since we seem to be done with the CTTE topic. Once you have given the full view to everyone about your topic, then eveyrone else can come in and talk.

This Thread is so stupid, this is a great example of what seems mind-blowing and ingenious when your high on marijuana, but in reality is just nonsensical crap.

No point in stopping the thread now I think, it's kinda interesting, but incredibly dumb.

Ya, if you like that, check out the "lightbulbs" thread in "discussions not related to music" section.

CTTE is the ultimate album, high or sober.
