They would be a welcomed addition under the Art rock banner.

Sort of like a poor man's Uriah Heep IMHO.

"Magnum" is ok as ice-cream (by Langnese), but I am not sure about the archives.

I've been pushing for their inclusion for a while, and the general consensus amongst collaborators is that they are a 'fringe act' of the genre, which I can go along with, and that the more obviously progressive bands should get priority first, that's perfectly reasonable. They are certainly 'prog related' for me.

However, they are a fave band of mine; it's funny that 'Storyteller's Night' is actually less progressive than albums that preceded it like 'Chase The Dragon' and 'Magnum II'.

They're a hell of a lot proggier than Triumph

Take a bit of IRON MAIDEN, a bit of SAGA, a bit of STYX, a bit of KANSAS and stir them up together and you have MAGNUM.

they are on the border of prog related!

this is what i call sophisticated hard rock with keyboards.

chase the dragon is the most prog one, followed by storyteller; on the other hand, vigilante is not prog at all!
