Just wanted to point out to Peter Rideout, that Randy California is most definitely Not "an incognito Robert Fripp" but in fact was the guitarist for west coast Psyche/prog rockers Spirit. His contribution to Red Shift is easily recognisable as he has a

Randy California was an original. Spirit was an awesome band.
