Well that would be very intresting. Maybe he'd make them good! Or get himself laughed at, kicked out, with nothing but the clothes on his back, on the side of the street, all hungrey and helpless, wondering why he didn't let himself go to the charterhouse... with no money, begging, with Mike rutherford forced on Vocals and-OKAY STOP! I'm making myself cry, anyway, Peter Gabriel was in Genesis. Could have worked no other way.

Hmm... and people say my posts are bizarre ?

Don't know how to answer that question. Would they have been more progressive ? Maybe. Could have started a new "Arena Prog" genre.

Hemispheres,

That is a very odd choice for an Avatar.  The gentleman in the picture is Patrick Deuel.  He was hospitalized in my home town two years ago with a weight of over 1,075 pounds.  Thanks to intensive therapy and gastric bypass surgery, he has lost over 600 pounds, and is now facing surgery to remove over 70 pounds of skin left in the wake of his plight.  He has battled obsesity his entire life, and has recently been able to leave the hospital, return to his home in Nebraska, and walk outside with his wife for the first time in years.

Here's an update on his condition - http://www.keloland.com/NewsDetail2820.cfm?Id=0,45441 - http://www.keloland.com/NewsDetail2820.cfm?Id=0,45441 .

Just thought you'd like to know.

What if Phil Collins had joined KISS ? He could have been the first Cabbage Patch Doll with makeup on. imagine how songs like "Plaster Caster" would have sounded backed by "Earth Wind and Fire" !

What if Robert Fripp had been the 6th member of N'Sync?!?!?

What if Dave Stewart had been offered a spot for his organ with the Sex Pistols?!?!?

really, dumb thread if I ever saw one.

Gabriel did use stage makeup, I think his vocals would be interesting with a music style like Kiss's at least a song or two would be fun.

What if George Michael (and Lisa Stansfield !) had played with Queen. Then they could be in "prog archives" !

Nah, it would never happen. Would it ?

Instead of the serious, intellectual, a bit poshy Genesis to the pure sex, drugs and roll and roll world of Kiss where guitarplayer Ace had a book with a collection of pubic hair from the hundreds of Kiss groupies he screwed ... perhaps he would have coped with it as Rael  ?

One of my close mates is a Kiss fanatic. He has Paul Stanley tatooed on his arm.But to me they are just an average American rock band who got lucky with the make up come cartoon image they created. As for the Archangel joining a glam rock band how dare you be so balsphemious

This might me seem like an asshole, but I have no respect for people like that. I pity "fat" people, yet if people are stupid enough to let themselves get outrageously overweight like that, they don't really deserve any sympathy. I mean, really, people should be able to limit themselves, surely they can see that their weight is getting out of hand, yet they keep on eating. Ridiculous.

Obesity is a disease, and for some people it's simply a part of their genetic makeup.

I have a friend who weighs almost 400 lbs who eats less than I do,and I eat like a horse and never gain weight.

I think the first show Peter did dressed as a flower he would be eaten by Gene Simmons...

I don't think this would ever happen simply because
of the difference in personality and musical
phylosophy of Simmons and Gabriel.

I don't see Gabriel being involved with a band that is
on a lunch box, a pinball machine and millions of
other toys and collectables (like a KISS CASKET, I
kid you not).

I don't see Gene Simmons adding third world
rhythms to his music or singing a duet with Kate
Bush.

Gene Simmons is unapologetically a businessman.
He prides himself on that he makes a lot of money
marketing the band's images as well as music. Not
only does he not care about artist integrity
(obviously), he openly mocks those who don't share
his same business sense.

Now, compare this with Peter Gabriel's work with
Amnesty International and WOMAD... ok, maybe you
can't.

It's hard to imagine these two in the same room
talking for longer than a couple of minutes of polite
chit chat.

Weird question but keep them coming, they are fun.
