I had a Spanish friend whose names was Jesus and he landed for next to nothing a stock of T-shirts saying "Jesus Loves You", which he gave to all of his possible conquests ------------- let's just stay above the moral melee prefer the sink to the gutter keep our sand-castle virtues content to be a doer as well as a thinker, prefer lifting our pen rather than un-sheath our sword |

We've got lots of jokes of this kind in Italian, and they're not considered blasphemous at all. Blasphemy, IMHO, is something else entirely. It's true, however, that many religious people tend to be easily offended. BTW, in Italian the expression would be practically the same... |

I'm a Catholic, latin and Spanish speaker but honestly find it funny.
Who said religion and sense of humor can't go together if something is not offensive?
But of course if it offends somebody it's a different thing.
