Cover Version IV

Today I completed Cover Version IV, and I think it's my favourite so far in the series, I'm very happy. The cover version itself is probably the most obscure yet, and may create some controversy with it's subject matter, guaranteed to offend. But also very beautiful I think. Anyway, it should be out in a few weeks, once again exclusive to Headphone Dust (though please do not write to Duster about it yet - it will be easy enough to order when the time comes, and not limited). Cover Version III will also be repressed at the same time. For those that don't know the idea is for there to be a total of 6 in the series, with the final disc in some kind of package that will house all 6 discs. I'm averaging around one CV a year, but on the other hand I've been in the zone for creating a lot of new music this year (having created very little new in 2005) so maybe CV5 will be quicker to come around.

Also on the way is the new Blackfield album, which is now finished, the next PT album, which is about 70% written, a new Bass Communion release (plus some Bass Communion remixes for other artists), and some other collaborations. Plus the continuing onslaught of reissues, repackages, and remasters of course. Gotta go, can't stop!

Can't wait to hear the new Blackfield. I was very impressed by the debut and of course anytime there is a new PT album out i will be jumping for joy.

Has anyone heard anymore about his project with Akerfeldt and Portnoy?

Man, when does this guy have time to breathe?

Just kidding Steve...less breathey, more workey.

This is why I have found being a SW fan to be much less frustrating than being a Tool fan. Instead of waiting 5 years between releases, I just have to wait until tomorrow.

Oh, and I haven't heard anything new on his project with Portnoy and Akerfeldt, but I can't wait to hear it.
