 The Mars Volta are nowhere CLOSE to metal. The only similarity they share is that they're both loud and fast. Thats about it welcome to the site btw -------------

| You must be joking! TMV are NOT prog-metal by any means - and, BTW, before you barge in giving orders to everyone, make sure you understand the definition of Art Rock first. This subgenre is where eclectic, hard-to-categorise bands and artists are put, and TMV fit into that category quite perfectly. |
