Hello everybody !
Yes, I am from Montreal. I know prog-rock since I am 12 years old, when at that time we called it: L'Anti-rock. My cousin Jimmy made me discover anti-rock around 1973. At first, it was ELP. After that; Pink Floyd, Genesis, PFM, VDGG, Gentle Giant, Yes, Kraftwerk, Mike Odfield, Harmonium, Manège, Octobre, and so on...
I was a member of Greg Lake board since two years until he shot down his forum around april this year. I am currently on LOTL board for now. For those who assisted at Carl Band Show at the Medley in may this year, I was at Carl's table saling items. Yes, I met Carl backstage and talked to him several times that night( I am a lucky one). I saw him again at Asia show in Boston last week.
I was also present at the Olympic Stadium on the 26 th of august 1977 for the big show with orchestra. What great memories!
I will be at the prog.fest this week, and I expect to meet some members on this board. I will be sitting at first row, since I have the VIP past ( I bought it...).
My friend Richard from England made me discover this Forum ( thanks Richard).
Salut de Sylvie

Bienvenue ma chère. Il y a pas mal de francophone dans le coin, but we all respect the English rule in posting. The owners are Québecois too!
Which Richard would that be?
Richard Walden or Richard Haydon?

Great! Another woman, and close to my age too... That's good to see those stereotypes on women not liking prog are nothing more than that!
Welcome, Sylvie... Hope to see you around here for a long time!

What is fun is to find here some people in their teens and twenties. It's fun to know that younger people like this kind of music. It's like Star Trek the next Generation. Now, it's prog.rock the next generation!

Hello Micky,
According to Greg, he had problems with the promotor. It seems that the promotor pulled the plug. We were very sad of this on Ladies of the Lake, and we still are, but we support the man, no doubt about it.
Anyway, seeing Carl twice in three months made me happy. I have now 12 times his autograph , and also a picture taken with him. Carl for now is the hottest of the three, performing at least 20 times each month in North America, England, and so on... He is in good shape, and he seems happy, and he still plays drum like a god.
I really hope that next year Keith will be playing at the Montreal prog.fest. Let's cross our fingers.

The extent of my bad French:
"Le roi est mort! Jive le roi." ~ The King is dead. No kidding.
"E pluribus anum". ~ In every group there is one asshole.
