I wouldn't have played any of these over the 70s stuff, and in fact their 80s stuff seems to get worse the more I hear it, BUT 'The Miracle' has some excellent tracks. The title track is the most progressive thing they'd done since 'The Millionaire's Waltz' and has a great, moving climax, while 'I Want It All' was their best rocker in years. Not so wild about the rest of it, but for those songs, that album wins.

The Miracle, with The Works close second.
BTW, Innuendo is missing, and The Game is not an 80's album.

Well, Innuendo is not missing since it is an 1991 album. As far as I know, The Game was released in late 1979, but on this site it is listed as an 1980 album.

Ooops...my apologies for Innuendo. I was convinced that it was released in 1990 (last year of the 80s).
However, decade started with 1st Jan 1981, so Flash Gordon And The Game are 70's albums, undoubtedly.

I voted The Miracle, it has no bad songs, amazingly. And yes, I suppose you could say the decade starts with xxx1, but for practical and logical reasons one might as well count from xxx0. I would have a hard time calling 1990 "the 80's", because it contains no number 8.
I see you are from Croatia. Perhaps it is more common with your way over there? If so, does that mean you celebrated the new millennium in december 2001 instead?
Sorry for derailing the topic here, but I'm genuinely curious. :)

It's not more common way, it's just me being geeky
Anyway, I'm driven with feelings more than with facts, for me, The Game is 70s album and Innuendo goes with bundle with 80s albums, I dont know....probably because of Greatest Hits & Greatest Hits II compilations...

I'm not a Queen fan, but their 80s albums are mostly crap. And still there are people who complains of 80s Genesis...

The Miracle for me...it was the first album I owned by Queen and has a special place. Not to mention that this album rocks pretty darn hard for a band that only had another 2 years of life in them.

I had to vote for 'The Works' simply on the basis of 'Keep Passing The Open Windows'. It's just wonderful and the extended version is a true delight if ever you get the chance!!!!

As my favorite band, I really can't stand the direction they went in during the 80s. Each album is a few hits surrounded by filler-ish tracks. Still, I'll go with The Game. It has a few strong tracks besides the singles.

^I got all these albums again recently dirt-cheap (like £1 each) after not hearing them for a few years. Have to agree, the band's choice of singles was great as it is those tracks which are far better than the others. Did enjoy 'The Game' and 'The Works' more than I used to, though- especially the latter. 'Hot Space' is plain bizarre...

I actually REALLY like Game and Miracle... so I voted Miracle.
Not good prog music, but good dance-y rock!
...I really hate Hot Space

I do prefer 70's Queen, but I don't think their 80's output is as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. "Who Wants to Live Forever?" is one of my favourite Queen songs.

I'm a big fan of the Highlander movie and TV series, so have always liked A Kind of Magic because it is the Highlander soundtrack.
