Yeah, I moved in here early december. They guy or girl downstairs plays piano. Ok, no problem with that, the couple of first days I thought it was relaxin in a way, listening to the songs. but after some time I realised he(I'll assume it's a man) keeps playing the same tunes over and over again. So I asked my roommates about it, and they said, yeah, the same tunes have been on for 6 months now. And what strikes me most, the guy sucks, really. I mean, here's the thing. He can play this song where the low pattern and the melody take turns until a certain point, and then he loses it, and starts over. So for fun, I listened to him, learned to play the beginning with my guitar, and sometimes play it really loud when he's playing too, at the same time anyway, I recorded the beginning of it, before he loses it.

I was wondering if anyone could recognise this song. Because I think the tune is quite catchy, even though I've never heard the full score.
I'll let him play, why not, he has the right to do it. I often play my guitar here. the guy upstairs plays trumpet, and he's good, my roommate plays europop very loud so all I can hear is this song and boom boom boom every now and then. But it really annoys me, I'd really love to know the name of this tune. thanks.

It's a variation on Peer Gynt's In the Hall of the Mountain King by Grieg (Variation is too much for this, somebody trying unsuccessfully to learn it would be more accuarte misses several notes and the timing).
Listen it at the end of Journey to the Centre of the Earth.
But that must be a torture.
