No, actually I wasn't... My vote for SW is the third, which means there is some other closet SW fan around the forum!

While they can all sing, I don't think any of those are great singers. Undeniably, they made some of the best pop ever made though, and have an abundance of talent between them.
For a great singer, I think I'd look to someone like Gary Puckett or Gene Pitney.

I went with Daryl Hall. The man has got such a smooth voice with dynamite range. He hasn't lost anything over time, either.
His solo album, Can't Stop Dreaming, from a few years ago is breathtaking. Just great, great stuff.

For personal reasons it would have to be Paul Simon I'm very attached to his "Scarborough Faire" vocal performance (though Sarah Brightman ain't bad either )

Stevie Wonder's the only one on that list who really convinces me, although Daryll Hall has had his moments.
Rod Stewart, especially his early 70s Faces and solo work, is greatly underappreciated, although the American Songbook series was pretty unforgiveable.

From the list given my choice is Gerry Rafferty. Surely he isn't one of the best singers, but I just like his voice.
Singers that weren't included which come to mind are:
Glenn Danzig - OK, this "Evil Elvis" does operate in the metal field, but he has a very strong and warm voice. He reminds me somewhat of Jim Morrison.
Harry Nilsson

It seems a bit generous, but unfortunately the poll doesn't go into minus numbers .

Well, I simply cannot vote.... I can't be forced to chose between Winwood, Hall and Stevie Wonder........ would be impossible. Stevie is the best singer here, no doubt, but personally I prefer Winwood. My vote!

Stevie Wonder isn't a great singer? The irony of this post is lost on me...
Oh, and he couldn't play drums too. Or the harmonica. God knows what would have happened if he had ever had a day job as a piano tuner...

That's a bit aggressive isnt it?
One could easily make an argument for him being a multi-instrumentalist who also sings. In fact after his first hit, Fingertips, he was more famous for his harmonica playing rather than any vocal prowess as you hint at in your post.

In all sincerity, no I don't think Wonder is that great a singer. That's not to say I do not enjoy his music, I do. I believe his real talent though is as a songwriter and a musician.
I guess it's all about opinions though.

You didn't specified that before; then someone did not believe what you wrote..... Stevie Wonder isn't a great singer!! Please!!........ Voice's register, pitch and abilities in general aren't about opinions....... And Stevie, from any point of view, is an awesome singer, one of the best in non-prog music IMO.

Indeed. You may not like his voice or style, but that's hardly relevant - I can't think of many singers that can use their voice in such a varied & colorful way. His vocal abilities are well beyond any prog singer, imo. Just listen to Living for the City!
Back on topic, Stevie Wonder it is.
