I have no experience with PS3 but I have played Wii and XBox 360. It is rumored that PS3 won't be getting as many games as wii and xbox.
Between the 2 I have experience with here are the differences besides the obvious:
Xbox is a better one for playing by oneself or 1 other person, while Wii is a group experience, playing Wii alone is totally lame and with one other person it gets a little old.

Apparently the WII is outselling both.

XBOX 360.
The PS3 hasn't really done much for me, (I still use my PS2).
Anyway, I'd say 360...got some really great, interesting games out. Just my personal preference though.

I have a Wii and if you just want to have fun (which is what gamming should be about IMHO) then I thoroughly recommend one.
BTW, playing Zelda on your own is definitely NOT lame!

14th on the all time list plus owning a Wii means you can also play numbers 1, 3 & 4!

Buy the Xbox 360, it's got the best price for what it delivers. The Wii may be cheap, but it's got pretty lackluster graphics, and there aren't too many potentially great games in the immediate future. The PS3 is simply overpriced, lacking standout games, and just doesn't match up. Go for the 360! Gears, Halo 3 (well... potentially), ¡Viva Piñata!, Project Gotham 3, and Oblivion are all great.

My preference: the 360.

Though perhaps it's not the most powerful machine, it has a far superior Live service and the exclusives are much more to my taste...the benefits outweigh it all.

Plus if you look around the gaming sites, the 360 generally has much more support. The PS3 hasn't really got any good titles out...Resistance if you're into same-same shooters (yes i've played it), and perhaps Okami.

I'm not saying it's a bad system, I'm just saying that for the extensive gamer's purpose, the 360 is cheaper and most likely ultimately better. Two of my friends have all 3 next gens and hardly ever touch their PS3...

And personally, I hated all 3 of my experiences with the Wii...

But that's just me I'm guessing, judging by the sales.

I have a 360, but I haven't touched it in over a month.  Still would rather have it than a PS3 or Wii, though, which I'm definitely not getting.  I've been playing the new Zelda game for Gamecube a bit recently, but thats really all the gaming I do anymore.

PS3, the Wii and 360 hold no atraction for me. Plus, the PS3 has the potentiol to deliver some truly spectacular games in the future.

With the addition of our XBOX360 we now have all the next-gen consoles and the PS3 is being played the least right now.The whole family is having fun with the Wii and I am totally into Oblivion and recently Crackdown, none of the titles available for the PS3 have me excited right now.

IMO: Xbox 360 is the best system to get right now. PS3 will be right up there, but will take 1-2 years to develop the game library to stand on that level. As for the Wii, I could say a lot, but I'll simply leave it at: "Don't get it."

Assuming Sony can hold on to its exclusives or near-exclusives (think Grand Theft Auto and its delayed releases on Xbox), once it gets going, PS3 is going to be a powerhouse. There are many great series that will (I think) continue on the PS3, including Devil May Cry, God of War, Ratchet and Clank, Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, and GTA. When those start releasing their PS3 versions, it will be the obvious system to get, at least in my eyes.

I believe God Of War2 is going to be a PS2 game, and of course there is always the Metal Gear Solid and Gran Turismo series.

I still play my  old  X Box  because I am satisfied with the graphics and I have plenty of games I haven't finished yet. I'm  waiting for the price to drop for the 360 but I may go ps3 I need to research some things before I leap in

the wii is the most fun any of this generation of gaming systems. it has great graphics too, just not as good as ps3...but when i play video games, fun is more important than realism. and it's by far the best system to play with your friends.

I'm a hardcore Wii fan (and voted likewise) but if you want one of the others really

the 360 edges out the PS3 slightly

but still get a Wii anywayTongue

grand theft auto IV will be released simultaneously on 360 and PS3, and Final Fantasy now has it's own side of 360 (a.k.a. different and later-realsed launches of Final Fantasy games will be developed for the system). God of War is on PS2, and Resident Evil 5 is due out on 360 by the end of the year.

I'm not biased as I said, and I haven't picked up a gaming magazine in 2 months or so...so this could all have changed...but as far as I know...this is it.

The newest Grand Theft Auto game will be the last one released on a Playstation, after that all the GTA releases will be XBox exclusive.
