Well, the last days two car bombs have been defused in the UK, but today a car did cause trouble. One hit the entrance of the Glasgow airport and bursted into flames. It is unknown whether there was an explosion or not. Edit: apparently there were gas shells in the car, en people have dragged out a few.
It's sad that their has to be terrorism, I think there have been many examples that it doesn't help, talking does. I wonder if these recent attacks have anything to do with fresh prime minister Brown?

There's something strange about these attacks; a cluster of attacks within days, involving cars, filled with gas cannisters, and maybe nails. Such a crude and simple design of bomb, yet not an approach that had been used before by terrorists in the UK. All within a few days of a new PM coming to office.
Are the same people co-ordinating these attacks?
I think it is the intention of those involved to give Brown a 'Baptism of fire'

That's what I though when I first heard about them. I thought that perhaps they might have been the work of Extreme Rightists.

There will, of course, be those who claim that the London "bombs" are nothing more than an attempt by an increasingly control obsessed government to justify the "Big Brother" CCTV culture that has been created in GB in the last few years, especially as no casualties have actually fallen. What I would say is, was it really a good idea for Blair to hitch his wagon to the Bush train, when Iraq had nothing what ever to do with 9/11, and had everything to do with G.W. wanting to finish off what his Dad couldn't? Tony, how sleepless is your bed?

Now Blair is set to be 'Middle East peace envoy'
This is like offering the job of mayor of New York to Osama Bin Laden, or as George Galloway put it 'like offering Dracula the keys to the blood bank'
It's a funny old world.

It certainly is a test for Brown (and his new Cabinet), but apparently the incidents are al-Qaida related.
As Emdiar said though, nobody was hurt (apart from one of the bombers) and it looks rather amateurish to me.
Surely if you're wanting to blow up a nightclub, you don't leave a car with its doors, bonnet and boot open? That causes suspicion (as it actually did) and the plot will likely fail. Also, with the other incident at Glasgow Airport, how convenient is it that the Jeep Cherokee hit a pylon/bollard first? Maybe it is just a coincidence, but it seems a bit fishy there too.
If they wanted to hurt people, they would have.
It's just scaremongering tactics. They worked too.
