My wife and I have a love the album http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=6435 - Tammikuinen Tammela  and we were wondering whether we should check the next albums.

So which album do you love most and do you think we should bother with any of their next releases and if so which (or maybe both)?

PA bio:
UZVA was formed at 1995 by Heikki Puska, Pekko Sams, Olli Kari and Lauri Kajander. UZVA's music is instrumental and mostly acoustic, and it is influenced by jazz- and progbands of early 70's (TASAVALLAN PRESIDENTTI and Mike OLDFIELD f. ex.).

They have released two CD's, and the band is still active, so there will possibly be more releases coming in the future. "Tammikuinen Tammela" is the first one, and it's name refers to a january, when Heikki composed the album's material at Tammela. "Niittoaika" is the second one, which has some ZAPPA influences in it.

I personally prefer Niittoaika and secondly Uoma. In my oppinion the first one has unfortunately not so "juicy and athmospheric soundspectrum" as the rest ones. My personal advice for You is to purchase their next releases surely!

I personally prefer Niittoaika

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

I also slightly preferred Niittoaika. Uoma has some magical moments, but its length takes away some of its power.

Still, they're easily one of the best/most interesting modern prog bands, so get 'em both! Thumbs%20Up
