| I just purchased one of Claypool and the Frog Brigade live CD because I seen he covered Thela Hun Ginjeet and Shine on you crazy diamond. When I got it off amazon I only seen a track list for one CD, but there is a second CD. The whole second CD they cover Pink Floyd's Animals. Has anyone else heard this? It absolutely incredible! |

Frog Brigade 1 is excellent. Haven't heard the Animal's cover disc. He also has many other good non-Primus projects worth checking out. Actually, it was the Live Frogs that led me to Claypool and Primus/ ------------- Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Yeps, I got Frog Brigade set 2. It is a good cover of PF Animals and I would recommend it. |

Good stuff, really. Both the live set's are spectacular, and Purple Onions isn't bad either. Claypool is a genius... I was fortunate enough to catch Primus Live about a year ago. It kind of blows your mind. The Animals covers are spectacular, as is everything else I've ever heard by him.

the only non-primus work of claypool i have is his solo album "of whales and woe", and i've yet to hear bucket of bernie brains, which i'd like to because buckethead is one of my favourite guitarists. i'm kind of curious to hear oysterhead as well because of the lineup and sausage because it is the early primus lineup. |

Oysterhead has an excellent lineup: Claypool, Trey Anastasio of Phish, and Stewart Copeland of The Police! Bucket of Bernie Brains is awesome as well, with an equally excellent lineup, the only weak link being the drummer, Brain. ------------- "Information is not knowledge. Knowledge is not wisdom. i'm not too familiar with brain's drumming, other than on brown album and antipop by primus and i think he plays on cuckoo clocks of hell by buckethead, although i'm not completely sure. by those albums i can tell his drumming is certainly not bad, but not up to par with someone like tim alexander or stewart copeland. |

When I saw Mostly Autumn, they played a set of Floyd covers before doing a set of their own music.

I'd be surprised if the other Les projects would appeal to you if Primus doesn't. Primus could pretty much be considered a Claypool project. ------------- Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

No problem, I wouldn't advise anyone to buy something just because I love it and I am a heavy Claypool/Primus fan. ------------- Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...
