Subject: This (half) week in my life...

Mercedes took a short vacation. I've been alone since this very monday. By monday night, the house looked like a mess. Clothe everywhere, a lot of bread in the table, along with peels from several vegetables that I'm using to survive, though I'm most excelent in the kitchen, I just don't feel like preparing anything tasty is nobody is going to enjoy it with me. I think I've been eating boiled potatoes and lettuce (wich is more dry everyday), lots of tea and some sort of candy made out of papaya (a gift from a friend). Today I found some spare spaghetti, wich I ate, but it had bad taste, probably too many days in the fridge. Right after that, I discovered a lot of a certain yellow grumpy stuff inside the teapot, right after having a cup of tea that tasted funny. I remember thinking something about it early this week. I also think Blockbuster owns me; I have some movies that were supposed to be returned monday night. I just found them... I'm miserable and my underweare is everywhere, so are my shoes. Mercedes calls me everyday and today I just freaked out and said "why do you need to take vacations away from me???" "it's not from you, is from work" she said. I know I'm overreacting, it's just a week, but this is my first year here, I just know the people from work and comming back to a silent, empty house is driving me crazy. Besides, I can't help feeling a bit abandoned. My stomach hurts, I can't sleep... I don't want to ruin her vacations, but I think I'll explode in any minute...

actually, the program Mercedes works for should provide me with a temporary replacement. I mean, they sent her into this vacation in the first place, the least they can do is send me another girl from the program. I need a hugh and probably a female chest to rest my head and finally sleep. I turn in bed and there's nothing and I wake up... ...

That's how I feel when I'm apart from my wife.  Fortunately, it is very rare and I don't have quite the difficulties.

I want to be with my girlfriend so bad. We just decided to start going out on Saturday, and on Friday is when I see her next. This is miserable! Unhappy

Well, I don't want to rub it in, but Micky and I have been apart for over 2 months now, and won't see each other until December 20. Then, at the end of those three weeks we'll spend together, heaven knows when we'll see each other nextCry... I really love the paranoia some countries have about immigration!Angry

That is so lovely Smile

I wish I had the chance to feel it too Unhappy

I think it's time for you to take your relation a step further, cuncuna Smile

But my advice is to be as dedicated as possible to her needs - from my experience, girls tend to get disturbed by men's attitudes such as "why are you not near me right now", "I love you, don't go away", etc., as it shows as immaturity to them (hence they tend to lose confidence in their partners).

I understand what you both feel... I love cooking, but nowadays I do it very rarely for myself alone. On the other hand, I've been gathering lots of great recipes to make during the Xmas holidays. Once you've experienced cooking for the person you love, you stop feeling like doing it for yourself when you are on your own.

Hey Cuncuna, I know exactly how you feel - occasionally, my job takes me away to Europe or Eire on business. Usually this is only for a day or two, but I hate being away from Vicky - mushy & sentimental, maybe but it's the way it is; I think in 18 years of living together (14 years married) we've been apart less than 14 days...

...you have my entire sympathy.

well, i can sympathize for Raf cause 2+ months of being away from your sweetheart is a lot of time but, man, give yourself a break!!! it's been only three days!!! enjoy your having the place for yourself.. be slappy... ask some fellows from work and if you don't really know them yet, you'll get to, over a couple of beers when you are home ALONE... i mean, come on, quit whining about it and make sth good out of this...

I try to make my business trips as short as possible because I can't stand being away from my family, and especially my wife.  Summer breaks in college used to be a killer, I think that's why we moved in together right after school instead of waiting to get married (much to our parents chargrin).

Jeez guys, come on.  A week? 6 days?  Like Raff and Micky, it has been almost 2 months since I've seen my girlfriend.  In a little over a week, I will get to spend a week with her, and then we'll be apart another month before I get to see her again, and then...who knows when we will see each other again.  Cry

I agree with you Raff.  I've been trying to find a job in Europe now for about 2 months,  but no one will hire me because I don't have permission to work in Europe.  And the E.U. seems very strict about its immigration policy as well and won't give me permission to live or work in the E.U., unless I find some kind soul willing to give me a job and sponsorship.  I didn't expect it to be quite as bad as the U.S., but unfortunately, it is.  Censored

The whole relationship was long distance, since Mercedes studied very far away from my hometown. I used to see her 3 days every month during the school year, and weekends during summer vacation. I know everything about missing her... that's why I'm hating this so much... npw that I live with her finally, I'm not supposed to feel once again like those times...

I don't even know how I'm still alive anyway. What I hear the most is "¡I'm going to kiiiill you!", due to several habits including sleeping over her, eat things that are not very fresh, leave laundry hidden, etc. So I'm not sure it's an italian thing, but a genre one. Anyway... ¿why would anyone want more than 1 woman?... imagine an harem of 10... that's 10 times more chancse to get nagged or killed...

10 women.. . I can barely handle to the two I have...so as far the 'other' woman.. I made life simple

the other woman... only speaks when instructed to...  has a volume control so if you don't like what she says you can shut her up quickly. But if you a a great lover.. she'll arouse you to no end with her  sounds of pleasure.  She never nags if you ignore her. Never runs to the police if she decide to throw her around and treat her a little rough. Plus the most important thing of all... make sure your woman loves her just as much as you do hahahhah.

She really is beautiful...

especially when you get both of your women together for a little girl on girl action ShockedLOLHeart

Living with somebody can be a potential battlefield and i applaud anyone who can do it amicably but it is an art to be mastered, consideration for each other  - arguments about space, property and personal hygiene, next time your partner goes away Cuncuna you should cope with it the British way -  take the pressure off her by not minding she has to go away for her job, enjoy some space on your own, and have the place looking immaculate on her return, and no evidence of the party you had with the boys! Wink

no - to cut a long story short, in 1982 i had a serious accident on a decorating job and lost the use of my left hand and arm - after 5 operations and many years later i find i can do most things with patience and perseverance, i always wanted to learn to play the guitar and can do many basic techniques, i play a left handed guitar as i can use my injured hand for picking and my right for fretting. it takes much longer than most to learn pieces but often i'm amazed at what i can achieve sometimes, especially on the bass! i've only been doing bass for a few months but my hard work and persistence are bearing fruit, as long as what i'm trying to do is technically possible for me i never give up! Wink
my crowning achievement will be to be able enough to play live in a band, something i hope to do soon. Smile

That's ok I guess... you have fun while I suffer. I think I'll start a nag count to check out how much nagging am I getting. I think I'm a nice guy. I clean the house, I cook everyday (and not average food, I'm very aware of the nutritive and artistic value of my kitchen numbers), I try not to create a mess while I exist; still, there's always something. Women are programmed to be uncomfortable? I can't leave every object in the house in the same angle and separated by the same distance, but that is not what one could call "a mess". Funny thing is, I feel happy to hear all this things again. That week alone was pure hell...
