Well, I've got only four so far: Phaedra, Rubycon, Ricochet, and now also Hyperborea. And my favourite is undeniably RicochetClap

It's either Phaedra or Rubycon, probably Rubycon. I should listen to them more.

I only own and really know Phaedra, I've heard some of Rubycon and Stratosphere, they both sound really good but like I said my knowledge is really just Phaedra; but from that I consider them to be A list prog.

Of those you listed, it would perhaps be a tie between Phaedra and Rubycon.
Ricochet is very good too -- TD have loads of great albums, especially during the classic Virgin years.Thumbs%20Up

I like pretty much everything of theirs up until the mid 80s. The 3 I listen to most are Zeit, Force Majeure and Poland. Edgar Froese solo deserves a mention as well, especially Aqua and Epsilon in Malaysian Pale.

Yes, Tangram is a masterpiece. Although I love their earlier stuff, Tangram is on the top for me. It's got a very nice structure and flow.

I like Rubycon. It was my first venture into TD.

My favourites are: Zeit, Atem, Phaedra, Rubycon, Ricochet, Stratosfear, Sorcerer, Encore, Logos, Poland. I can't pick one overall favourite, they're all superb albums (and very different from each other).

Second division: Electronic Meditation, Alpha Centauri, Green Desert, Force Majeure, Tangram, Thief, Exit. I don't rate these as highly but I'll listen to them occasionally.

Don't like: Cyclone, White Eagle,  Hyperborea, anything after Poland.

I prefer the pre-sequencer Ohr albums, especially Alpha Centauri and Atem.

Hard to choose a fave album... Phaedra, Ricochet, Stratosfear, Force Majeure, Tangram... later live albums are also great... Maybe Force Majeure, but I'm not sure... can't really compare such heights!

But the fave track is an easy pick:

Mysterious Semblance At The Strand Of Nightmares

I started my TD journey with Phaedra, then got Rubycon, Alpha Centauri, Stratosphere, Ricochet, and Atem in that order.

Rubycon is probably my favorite. I might say that Phaedra is tied for first, or is a close second. It's changed over time.

I hope this is not humour LOL  It's exactly the one I would like to recommend with Alpha Centauri: the ultimate visceral electronic ceremony with long droning sequences and fantastic trance-like effects...pure electronic abstractions & atmospheres with no sequencers and no rythmical patterns. Music for the BRAIN!
