I don't know if it's against the rules to post one's -own- material here... but it seems like the best place to put it.
Recording for this project, Soundtrack For A Dream, is finally finished. This is -not- a commercially available album, and never will be. Rather, it's an experiment. Heavily influenced by Robert Fripp, early Porcupine Tree, and modern post-rock, Soundtrack For A Dream is a fresh look at ambient, psychedelic music. While most music in this genre is characterized by heavy production, triggered electronic loops, drum machines, and high polish, this collection of recordings is extremely organic, with each track being recorded in a single take, from a single guitar (through a versatile effects unit) straight to tape. Natural pops, cracks, and fuzz permeate the sound. No overdubs or edits are present, and each track is presented as it was recorded.

I'm really liking this. Being a fan of ambient music, this fits into my tastes easily. I love (and always will love) the idea of making a recording and not making any changes to it, you know, just taking the organic product produced by the musicians. Keep it up.

I'm touched, guys... that means a lot to me. I was afraid I'd get made fun of...
I'm going to play a few free gigs locally, and do what I can to get them filmed.

Thanks, I'm going to grab this too. It'll be a while before I respond because my computer has no soundcard.
You know, Aaron Jennings isn't a *very* post-rock-ish project name. Oh, unless it's not your name. Then it's perfect. *giggle*

First off, flippin sweet shirt in that video.
Secondly, this stuff sounds pretty . Its hypotizing in a strange way. Sounds like good music to listen to after a hard day of work.
I'll be sure to download the album soon.

The link doesn't work - MegaUpload says it's non-existent. Was there a download limit on it?

Hey, Aaron, towards what is your music leaning? ambient as in electronic or post-rock?
I'll listen to the music anyway, downloading for the next days.

I've listened to the whole album a couple of times this afternoon and I love it - absolutely wonderful relaxing music, bordering on advant-garde ambient not unlike some of the music I've heard from Fred Frith and ex-Cocteau Twins guitarist Robin Guthrie.

Great work, Aaron - very relaxing and well played. Sound quality isn't always 100%, but that's something to listen through. Haven't made it fully through Nine Days yet, but the rest is top notch. Maybe you should try to do something together with Igor 'Mr. Krobak' Proj-Jester some time - although geographical issues may make that a bit difficult.

Man what a talkative crowd
The song was interesting as usual, although I'm sure it would be hard to concentrate with all that talking. Ambient music deserves silence!

Annoying crowd indeed. I am playing Aaron's 4 tracks right now, while getting rid of piles and piles of old paperwork, with my son playing a computer game next to me at the other desk. That's a much better experience!
