If you think about answering "no" f**k off.
Not to sound self-centered (haha....haaaaaa) but I am feeling so alienated from this forum recently. Anybody wanna talk about music I know/like?

Let's discuss Fish, then. You seem to like the guy. Many of us find him to be an enjoyable singer with a very fine sense of flair. Which albums of his do you tend to listen to?

I'm trying to force myself to like Filosofem. I actually dig Hviss Lyset Tar Oss, but this seems a step down in both the ambient and metal depts.

Hell started my day with Pain of Salvation first 3 albums :) I'm definitely into progressive metal. No matter how far I stray I always seem to come back to it.
Also been digging Satellite (and I just ordered all the Collage cds a couple of days ago...)
Currently it's been hard for me to take out this damn Baroness "Red Album" out of the cd player. Before that was Communic (though they seem a bit regressive) and don't even get me started on Porcupine Tree.
Grew up on Queensryche, Savatage and Fates Warning.
Now as far as Marillion, IQ, Pendragon and Arena I haven't spent much time with these bands yet. It's on my to do list. Guess I've been too busy scouring the site for any interesting prog metal.
Really happy with the Pallas cd I picked up, Dreams of Men and Kamelot's The Black Halo.
I've had dredg's Leitmotif for quite sometime though I don't get to play them often. Seems like none of my friends like them.
Anyway, I'll always be more than happy to talk about prog metal :)

OK. I was up at Best Buy on Thursday looking for the Rush Snakes and Arrows Live CD, which ashamedly I still do not have because they didn't have it. Anyhow, while browsing they started playing a song off of the new Mars Volta CD. I know that TMV is one of the modern prog bands carrying the torch for commercial success, but it was still kind of strange hearing it played over the same PA system where Christmas music is played 3 months out of the year. Anyhow the next song was from Justin Timberlake's newest CD. The one about backs or butts or whatever it was about. And the world was back to normal.

X is good for about two songs, then it dies.
Irrlicht and Timewind are much better when it comes to Schulze.

Oh right, I do also like Eno. From the 1 album I've heard (Another Green World) And Kraftwerk is not bad. But The Decemberists kick the ass of the entire progressive electronic genre. Electronica got so much better in the past 10 years or so. So yes, I will go listen to them (or at least I would if people weren't about to come over now)

X is a strange case. Every single song is amazing, but it takes a really diehard fan to listen to 2 hours of Schulze music (let alone Rico who did a f**king marathon).
It's also weird to try to analyze Schulze's music, because even though I love it, I can't say it's all that varied.
