Three great cop movies with killer leading actors that are cops with a mission.  Which one you like best?

French Connection didn't grab me too much, Dirty Harry is badass, but Serpico is definitely my favorite. Pacino is amazing in it, and its one of few cases where the rogue cop is just doing what he should be doing rather than bending rules, etc.  Rogue because his co-workers made him rogue from their actions and not because he chooses a style of rogue activities.  Brilliant.  Also a relative of mine was in it so thats pretty awesome.

I guess for me, it's gotta be Dirty Harry. I watched it a few weeks ago and remembered why I loved it so much. Style and substance and great flow, never a boring moment for me.

I love Al Pacino so Serpico is naturally my favorite. It appeals to me because it's a true story and Pacino is superb in the role, while Dirty Harry(I do like the movie),is almost like a caricature of a cop.Good movie, just not very believable.

well out of these three, I must say, I really enjoyed French Connection. I've still got it on DVD. Dirty harry seems a bit boring to me, and the first one I don't even know :P
