| A band I had the pleasure to see a couple weeks ago, I figured I'd suggest them now. I'm honestly not sure where i'd put them but to me they sound a bit like Frank Zappa mixed with Sonic Youth. I definitely find the music progressive, though not the most complex or technical. The place to have a listen would be http://www.myspace.com/fetishchicken - www.myspace.com/fetishchicken they have I believe three albums out, and even if they can't be added I highly recommend listening. The track I'd most recommend would be "New Mexico". |

Interesting alternative/ indie rock. Listened a bit to this yesterday, and listening again. I'm not sure where it would fit either. Enjoyable. | I was thinking about it and I'd say either eclectic or crossover would be best. eclectic because that is a fitting description for the music, but they have crossover potential, as they tend to write shorter, more concise songs with a somewhat traditional structure, yet still with an experimental nature to them. |

not quite the 'oh wow' kind of group like Gaylord and June Cleaver and the Steak knives were for me.. probably because they don't have the same obvious and blantent eclecticism they had . However I think these upstarts have a place here.... think Xover might be a first place. Dean is our resident 'indie' expert..
