Operation Mindcrime is the best conceptual album in the history of progressive metal.

I prefer Empire, but Promised Land and Mindcrime are close

1. Operation: Mindcrime

2. Empire

3. Promised Land

All others are for collectors only. IMO.

definitely Warning.... the vocals on Roads to Madness is reason enough.
Operation:Mindcrime is probably the most 'perfect' (in which sense ever...) album, Rage for Order has a nice clinical sound - 'Neue Regel' is great and even the sick ballad thing like 'I only dream in Infrared' is cool . empire was the last Queensryche-album that I more or less 'enjoyed', I lost complete interest in them.

yours,
I am not a collector. IMO .

I voted "Empire" because I find myself listening to it more often than "Mindcrime". I like them both and if I feel in the mood for a concept album then "Mindcrime" is inveritably one I would choose
