Hello,
Recently I've been exploring the world of Stomu. I have previously bought Red Buddah and Floating Music and was wondering where to go next. (Really love the percussion presence in this jazz influenced music...aka really like Red Buddah
 )Read over some/most of the reviews on the site but still not really sure what the next best step would be. So I figure I'd open the query to the whole PA community.
So, which should I buy next?

I only know the three Go albums, Go and Go Live being really good. But I need more Stomu myself. -------------

Go Go Go Red Buddha was interesting. I haven't heard Floating Music. Go and Go Live were really good. Go Too I'd place under Red Buddha. Interested in how Floating Music will compare. |

For $28 that had better be the Complete Go Sessions.  Out of the three albums on that one, live is the best.I totally forgot about another one I have Sea and Sky. Three sythesists, including Stomu. Percussion, also Stomu and an orchestra. For for fans of mellower sythesizer oriented music. |

Go is easily the worst album I've heard by him. If you're as
afraid of cheese as I am, stay away. Read Seans reviews, and you see
what I mean. Come to the Edge/Floating Music is probably my favorite, but ../album.asp?id=15244 - Freedom is Frightening is a great jazzy/canterburysounding (Hugh Hopper is brilliant on this album). I just added an album of theater music: ../album.asp?id=23135 - The Man From the East , a really entertaining mix of japanese traditional music and jazz fusion. What a Way to Live in Modern Times may be my favorite Stomu track. You obviously haven't heard Go Too.  I first got into Stomu during the LP age. Got a cut out of Go Live and a used copy of the original Go. So if that's all crap, then I guess I just like crap.  Hard to get a hold of his stuff for quite a while but I think that's beginning to change perhaps. ------------- Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I haven't heard Go Too/Go Live, just Go. I found very little I enjoyed on that album (don't own it anymore), so I never considered giving the "follow up albums" a chance.
