The Estonian band Pantokraator has requested that we consider them for inclusion here on PA.  I have listened to their album Tormidesööjad and it seriously reminded me of Fish, which makes me think that they might fit into Neo or Symphonic, however, they also describe their music as Estonian ethno-progressive rock and folk, so it is possible that they might fit under Folk also.

Here is a link to their MySpace page which only includes a compilation http://www.myspace.com/pantokraator - http://www.myspace.com/pantokraator .

And here is a link to their website http://www.panto.ee/ - http://www.panto.ee/   This page is in their native language so I am not sure how much help it will be, but it does include some concert video which might be used in analysis.

I just listend to the compilation on myspace.com and heard lots of neo progressive influences. It's like old style Marillion crossed with Irish folk.

Hi,

I am very glad that you included Pantokraator into Progarchives, thank you!

I would like to let you know that the band's website is available now in English as well.

http://www.panto.ee/eng%20 - http://www.panto.ee/eng

Also now there are individual sound bites on their homepage and on their myspace page. This makes for a much more convenient way to check out their music.

And indeed, their music is like a cross between neo-prog and ethno- (or folk-) prog and to my ears it sounds quite unique. (And no, I am not in the band, I just co-mixed 6 songs on their new album!)
