mainly something that sounds like Dream Theater's I&W and Symphony X's Paradise Lost. The more technical, the better. thanks :D

Lots of bands I can recommend from this subgenre. Try Mindwarp Chamber - Delusional reality - 2008. To me was a real pleasent surprise, excellent album or Myrath - Hope - 2007 band from Tunisia thay sound very similar to Symphony X. Try also the band from my avatar Pagan's Mind - Celestial entrance from 2002 is a masterpiece of prog metal , recommended.
