Here are a couple more fantastic albums that were released this year, one is very atmospheric/very melodic and the other a prog metal roller coaster ride! Which one do you prefer?

Went with Isis. They both have their moments, but in the end I though Wavering Radiant was superior. Not by much though. ------------- Hay Budday |

The Isis album is good, but Crack the Skye is excellent.

Crack the Skye for me.Mastodon really progressed and steered their sound in a different direction for that album.
But Wavering Radiant is pretty awesome in it's own right. -------------  |

Wavering Radient is an excellent album, but Crack the Skye is just stunning so as close as it is I'm giving it to Mastodon. ------------- Spending more than I should on Prog since 2005  |

i'm still hoping for Mastodon to return to Leviathan days, i'm less of a fan of this new approach even if it is interesting in parts. thus, even if WR is a step back in Isis's discography (which is only to say that it's not ITAOT) it's not a step away and so i'm giving it to them ------------- "Tell me why world, unfathomable and good, The beauty of everything is infinite and cruel." --Kayo Dot |
