they do exsist! I attended a YES concert a few times, and at one of those there was a girl so fine and beautiful that you would not believe it!! And even better...SHE KNEW ALL THE LYRICS!! All of them...unbelievable!! So, I together with morgoth sunshine caal upon you, fair yeslady who attended the yesconcert at the arrow rock festival in holland and stood way in the front accompanied by her father, to unveil yourself and make yourself known to us, so we could all rejoice and move forward and getting to know eathother and eventually marry one of us. I went to Qüeensryche – Dream Theater 2003 American tour. A beautiful
blonde danced in front on me all the concert “jamming” my view. I
couldn’t stop her until the last song
when the “Q-DT fusion” (both bands simultaneously) and I heard Geoff
Tate singing “The Spirit Carries On - Finally Free”. Awesome…  (DT must hire him). Trust me, Progressive blond girls exists…

| My friend's dad has every Yes album on vinyl even though he doesn't like them very much because most of the girls he liked in high school were big fans. Also it was a girl that introduced me to Jethro Tull, The Alan Parsons Project, Rick Wakeman, and Yes. One thing you can do is find a girl you know who doesn't listen to prog and let them borrow a CD you think they might like (I find "Thick as a Brick" usually works). |

They do exist. I know several myself. My ex girlfriend loved it, so does my new girlfriend. But I guess i'm pretty lucky One more example is the former lead-singer i the swedish band Sinkadus, who I know very well, as well as their violinist.

Erm perhaps it would be better to stop referring to these 'girls' & 'females' (I think you mean women) as strange alien intruders to this marvellous male world of prog. There are loads of women who love prog - they probably keep their heads down on this site to avoid the kind of ill-informed patronising chauvinism that seeps out of many of the posts. theres plenty of them they are just hiding lol...although i've no met any here in scotland yet...but you can't beat a girl who loves prog thats for sure...one of a kind! Im glad im a prog lovin girl i'd hate to be one of those steroetypes...that follow the charts uch n dress in burberry...n love dance music ..yikes. |

Check out some of the ladies on the Rush In Rio DVD it proves fine looking music loving ladies do exist and are very very fine! Hey! What's all the fuzz about prog girls? I'm a girl and I have
listened to prog music all my life because of my mother who was a big
fan. Even though I nowadays prefer the fresh sounds from Opeth,
Porcupine Tree, Riverside, Blackfield and so on, doesn't mean I've
abandoned my roots. I will never forget what set it off. You know, In Sweden it's more common for a girl to be in to metal than anything else, and that includes prog. I saw plenty girls last year at the Progeny fest in London. When Jadis came out, I thought every young girl there was gonna pull Gary Chandler off the stage... Gosh, it reminded me so much of my childhood... And Morgoth... I'm probably old enough to be your mother... but atleast I got to hug and strangle Steve Wilson over the weekend... proving you're never to old to love new prog....

My last girlfriend dispised the genere, my idea for a date was cuddling up and throwing in Metropolis 2000(Dream Theater) and watching them perform the concept album, she was so bored by me explaining the story to her and once during an arguement between a friend and I about time signature in a particular song, she got fed up and yelled "Nobody gives a sh*t". Some woman can appreciate it though, I got my mom into Rush, and she is constantly borrowing "An Evening with John Pettrucci and Jordan Rudess", my sister is also into band such as Tool and Dream Theater because of a former boyfriend. Last week at the Wochester Mars Volta show I "met" a girl and we sung together during Roulette Dares and were making out by the end of the show. |

i do not believe beautiful girls who listen to prog are numerous; they mostly listen to mainstream music: hip hop, R&B, pop, dance. most of the beautiful women act according to the trends, because the biggest fear of the beautiful women is to be out of fashion. the beautiful woman wants to be desired, and today, perfect looks, social activities and normal behaviour are the keys to success for the beautiful women: the proof: you don't have to be talented to succeed in music nowadays.
