Has anybody had the chance to listen to this album ? It's pure genius in my opinion! Great mixture of many genres with musical perfection. |

Very good album. A little reminiscent of Mr. Bungle, not in sound but in spirit. Less insane, though. So no one has ever heard of them? I would have thought that since this thread was created (May 22, 2005) someone would have noticed it, and posted a reply. So this means no one knows this ? Can't be. It is a nice album (tot licht), enjoyable, not something amazing, but fun to listen to and it contains a good mixture of several styles. There are a female and male vocalists and the male one can be a bit annoying sometimes, but overall they do a good job. For those not familiar here is their bio from their PA page: DISCUS biographyVery tempting to describe this 8-piece unit as some sort of Indonesian MR. BUNGLE. Less frantic in terms of style, they don't have a singer as mad as Mike Patton but they do match the band in terms of virtuosity, eclecticism and heaving rocking. DISCUS' material is stunningly complex and varied, alternating between changing time signatures and calm, contemplative moments, sometimes in a matter of ten seconds.
