Greetings,

This is my first posting, however I'm no stranger to prog rock. I love: Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Marillion, ELP, etc.

I was wonder if anyone could fill me in on how to get a copy of "Symphonic Holocaust" by Morte Macabre (featuring the members of LANDBERK and ANEKDOTEN)

I loaned this to a friend an he up and move on me (the bastard! )

Amazon.com doesn't carry it any longer and I can't locate it anywhere in local shops (Los Angeles, CA). This has to be one of my favorite prog albums of all time. I'm now suffer from withdrawl. Please help!

P.S. - Also, what about "In a Glass House" by Gentle Giant. This is also a masterpiece but I think it was only released in the UK and not released here in the US.

Thanks again.

Bought mine from my local prog store, (yes, I'm lucky to have such a luxury) Ultima Thule in Leicester, website:

http://web.ukonline.co.uk/ultimathule-audion/ - http://web.ukonline.co.uk/ultimathule-audion/

The record was released by the French prog specialist label Musea:

http://www.musearecords.com/ - http://www.musearecords.com/

who do a mail order service.

Great album, plenty of sinister mellotrons, and one Goblin fan I know loved it to death.

Thanks for the tips.

I tried Doug Larson's website - he says he may have it in a week.

I also looked on http://www.missingpiece.net/ - http://www.missingpiece.net/ , the swedish site.

When I converted the SEK into USD, it looked like they want over $20,000 for the disk. New car, Morte Macabre, New car, Morte Macabre, New car, Morte Macabre, hmmm?

There are two major mail-order prog vendors in the USA you should be aware of and use regularly if you're looking for something/anything proggy:

Syn-phonic (accepts PayPal) http://synphonic.8m.com - http://synphonic.8m.com

Laser's Edge (accepts CC) http://www.lasercd.com/ - http://www.lasercd.com/

I know for a fact Laser's has Morte Macabre back in stock because I got my copy from there. Both vendors have the GG remasters.

Symphonic Holocaust is a great CD. If you like it (duh), then you should also possess:

Fabio Frizzo - The Beyond (Laser's Edge stocks this)

Zombi - Cosmos (Laser's, or direct from the band: http://www.zombi.us - http://www.zombi.us

That's a small but sure start.

As Morte Macabre are influenced by the Italian band, The Goblin -  check their back catalogue.

Yes, I should have thrown that in. Rereading necromancing's post, it does seem like he's not familiar with Goblin! My oversight. A great, informative site on Goblin: http://www.goblin.org - http://www.goblin.org

And, the modern "version" of Goblin, Claudio Simonetti's Daemonia: http://www.daemonia.it - http://www.daemonia.it

You shouldn't post publicly about sharing files...this was just addressed in the Pendragon thread.
