This band is an older project of Akos, the leader of Symph band Yesterdays (already in PA). While Tabula Smaragdina is an older project, they have only managed to release their album last year, through Musea.

Here are the samples: http://www.myspace.com/smaragdina - http://www.myspace.com/smaragdina

The music is a bit different to that Yesterdays. If you liked The Whirlwind, you should also like this. There are acoustic and mellow parts but heavy interplay moments too. Very good stuff.

This is great music and I believe they would fit comfortably into Symphonic Prog. Theres some incredible stuff here - very surprising the diversity in the music and virtuoso musicianship on every track. Wish I knew what they were singing about. But they are incredible prog.

Listening to them now Tabula Smaragdina (debut CD out from MUSEA)
Amazing sounds , Astounding Music!!! Wonderful prog music. You have my vote for symph prog.

I don't remember if I listened them or was mad if rejected them.

This band is fantastic Symphonic Prog, yes for our beloved sub-genre.

We have two votes....So they are in.

Will be adding the band soon.

Iván

Already sent a mail to the band (I know Bogáti-Bokor Ákos because we make coordinations with Zsolt Enyedi in order to add Yesterdays), so I hope will be adding them to Symphonic ASAP.

Szia, salut :)

as I know it, the second Yesterdays album will be out in October, so I will start to concentrate on their new stuff only :) They are planning a transylvanian tour in November... I am looking forward to it so much!

I know the band, this way it will be easier... especially that I had the chance to hear some new songs live in Cluj :)

Superb review Kati, your writing is excellent! Clap And there's information I didn't know even if I've been following this band for three years already, now.
If you want to have the review to show up on the front page (which would be nice), you can send a private message to an Admin and ask to delete it so you can post it again. And the same, when you already have a rating of an album and you want to post a review and have it shown on the front page, you can ask an Admin to delete the rating. Thumbs Up
Seems like my asking is effective... Big smile How about a review of Zalmoxe? Tongue

Harmonium: It's strange, I was sure having written a review of the fantastic Sfinx release Zalmoxe, but it's not in the PA fromn't page.

Szolt Enyedi from YESTERDAYS sent me a bunch of his favourite albums including Zalmoxe and Lume Alba, will have to relisten them again carefully.

Ivan, thanks for the Zalmoxe review. It's exceptional! I've been listening to this album for, like, forever, but still you came up with some observations that I didn't think of. Clap

Kati, looks like you took my advice, that was a nice surprise last evening when I checked PA! Big smile
