I realized one day how many of these band there are.
Who's your favorite?
I went with Symphony X, with Planet X and King's X close behind.

Racer X
X Japan
if you like hard-rock.
I would have voted for one of them if they were in th list.
Anyway, I chose Brand X. King's X would be my second choice, Planet X tend to repeat themselves, the same formula since Virgil Donati's 'Serious Young Insects'

I went for "some other X", because "Art of Life" by X Japan is one of my all time favorite prog-metal epics!

King's X wins on the strength of "Gretchen Goes To Nebraska" alone.
Surpised no one mentioned X Japan though.

King's X tops my list. I can't wait for their new DVD due out in November. It is about time they put out an "official" DVD.

I'll second digdug's recommendation. Moroccan Roll (particularly Disco Suicide ) is one of my favorites, period.

Also, though not prog, the ultimate X band would be. I'm not really familiar with their stuff, but you have to give them cred for simply being named X.

It is my sad duty to inform you that Phil sang on Product. I don't want to make waves or anything in the streets of Soho.

I stand corrected. He also sang on Moroccan Roll as well.
I might have to take my vote back.
