| Even tho I can't seem to get into King Crimson. My vote goes for Schizoid Man. I don't think I've been that amazed by a song in my whole life. The only songs, I can recall being as epic as Schizoid Man on the first listen was: Salisbury by Uriah Heep and Dagobert Ducks 100th Birthday by Guru Guru. |

An error of omission as only 20 are listed when it should be 21. Anyway, I'd still vote for VdGG's "Lemmings", followed by "Larks' Tongues...." ------------- Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me. |

I have to go with Schizoid Man. It's such a powerful and surprising beginning to an amazingly classic album. I can still remember when I first bought ITCOTCK and put it on, having no idea what to expect really, and being totally blown away.

Don't worry about it! I really woulda voted for Undercover Man as it's one of my favorite pieces ever written, but on second thought, I think Larks as an opener is more fitting, I don't know why, maybe it sets the tone better, or maybe it's that weird eeriness that you just can't put your finger on. |
